Just like Derozan Chandler is also from Compton along with Amit Johnson who is from L.A.That should make his translation to the team easy but this should make Raptors Fans love him alone.

Has Tyson Chandler ever played in the Fast Break?I think he would thrive in the fast break on Toronto.

We still need a true starting PG.

At least the Raptors will be a lot more athletic and we will be a better on defensive.

Jarrett Jack is a great PG and last year he seemed to never be able to play as many minutes as he wanted. He was consistant as long as his minutes were but with Calderon playing with him he was never sure of his minutes and I even remember Triano taking him off at times even though he was playing amazing. If he plays more than 32 MPG in a fastbreak based offence with perimeter shooters like Bargnani, Barbosa, Klieza, Diaw,Bellinelli and highflyers like Weems, Derozan, Chandler, Davis and Johnson Jarrett Jack could easily go 15 and 9.

Just so everyone knows the report is some sort of deal involving the Bobcats regarding Calderon, Torontos TE, Chandler and Diaw. RealGm says the trade is Boris Diaw for Toronto’s TE although Hoopsworld says the trade is Calderon, and Torontos TE for Chandler and Diaw.

Throw Barbosa out there at PG or sign one of the undrafted PG’s no big deal. Also Toronto summer leaguer Bobby Brown looked very good and seemed to fix his shot selection becoming more of as team oriented floor general. Jack is a strong guy and is very solid and reliable I bet he could play an efficient 35 minutes at PG.

Turnovers in gonna kill this team.

Let me get this Straight…You trade Calderon for Boris and Chandler….And your Big Men Are…

Bargnani…Chandler…Diaw…Johnson…Davis and Alabi….That’s crazy depth…even if Chandler is a FA next year and Diaw may be in the same category…why make this deal though if it doesn’t get you Augustine…You need a young passer and shooter and I don’t think that’s Jack….

Trade for DJ Augustine…start him and have Jack as your Combo Guard of the bench…

    Starters

    Augustin-Derozen-Turkoglo-Bargnani-Chandler

    Bench

    Jack-Diaw-Johnson-Marco-Davis and Alabi-

Wheither they get DJ or not…they need a young Pg…Jack should be a scorer off the bench ala Barbosa…The Raps are a Young Pg away from looking real good going forward…With this season likely producing a top 5 pick( Kyrie Irving or Brandon Knight ) They be in good shape if Derozen makes a huge leap in the next 2 years…I’ll check in on them after the draft in 2011…after they get a young Pg and can pilfer another stud Sf with all those big men..they’ll be a very young and exiting team minus the Vet Turk who actually would be best with that youth next to him…If they could have found a way to trade for Paul George on draft day we’d have something good brewing in T Dot….

Pass the Kush BC…I’m Buying It…

So not ala Barbosa, they will have Barbosa.
Jack is a good PG I would give him a year as the starter to see if he can excell against the
Rose, ROndo, Wall, Young Buck and the rest of the esat PG’s.
DJ is not a upgrade to Jack IMO…

Who for Who…Turk for Barbosa…???That’s awesome for The Raps…Suns I don’t know…Another ball handler with Nash could be good…But The Suns need some youth at Sg…next years draft should be focus on getting a Sg..JR is not the future…

Ed Davis, Tyson Chandler, Amir Johnson, Reggie Evans, Joey Dorsey, and Solomon Alabi… who wins a shooting contest from any distance beyond five feet?

I love the trade for Charlotte. I am not a huge fan of their investment in Tyrus Thomas, but they have really made the best of a bad cap. They seemed to be in a tough spot facing the likelihood of losing Felton and Thomas because of the bad contracts of Chandler, Diop, Mohammed, and Diaw. They moved two of the contracts, and got a better point guard out of the deal. Chandler was not a Larry Brown guy. He will probably do rather well in Toronto where he can rebound and defend while Bargnani shoots, but it wasn’t working in Charlotte. Diaw got minutes, but I think they can probably get similar production if Derrick Brown gets those minutes.

I cannot wait to see in 10 months how your gonna say ” I hate Chandler” after he misses his usual 35-40 games.

      Knicksboy,

That might very well be the case but no matter what, Chandlers contract is expiring… we’ll take a hurt Chandler over having to pay Turk and Jose the 70 plus million they are set to make the next four seasons.
