IknoBall12ParticipantI feel for the Cleveland cavs. from managment to the fans to the janitors to all of them. He dragged them through this hell all the way to the end jus to humiliate them on Espn. The fans do have a right to be angry. It seems like if james knew he would leave or have an idea he wouldve at least did a sign and trade or sumthing that he can give his home team a player or anything back in return 4 him leaving. But anyway i keep thinking about all the talk ppl did about lebron never having help and the cavs never built around him. That is just a flat out lie. The cavs built around lebron he jus didnt win. They gave him Jamison, Shaq, Mo williams, anthony parker, jj hickson, Varejao, and others. Ppl love 2 say “o jamison is sorry shaq is washed up blah blah” but wat ur no tunderstanding is those are the players lebron asked to bring in. He asked 4 help and was happy but at the end of the season hes upset. U dont win 60 games with a mediocre team. U dont have the best record like that with a sorry team. The cavs did the best they could to get help in with lebron and get players that fit his game. Pau Gasols dont jus fall out the sky and get to play with random teams th elakers were lucky with that and memphis was desperate. The celtics were lucky 2 get the big 3 together. The cavs built around lebron and i respect danny ferrry 4 doin all he could. and as for the amare deal phoenix had never truly plannned to send him to cleveland according to steve kerr. They were jus seeing wat teams would offer. U bron fans need 2 face facts…….he jus didnt get it done. Lebron is piggybacking rite now of wade and bosh and 4 that reason he shouldnt be considered among the greats or be in the convo for GOAT.

bkb77ParticipantMichael Needed Scottie,Shaq Need Kobe & Wade, Kobe is on the most stacked team. All great players need another great player to play with them to win championships, the guys who were on the roster for Lebron were nice but there was no other great players,Shaq is a shawdow of the shadow of him, jameson is on the decline,Mo is nice but he is a good player not a great player. Now lebron did take the easy way out in going 2 Miami but you cant knock him for wanting to win, & if Bosh or another star wanted to go to miami lebron would have stayed, so lebron gave the cavs every chance to keep him, they kept coming up with constilation prizes for players & never got him a true robin.

Michael.S.ParticipantCleveland bulit around James? Stop it.
How? By giving him a 40 yr old Shaq, and a 35 yr old Jamison? By losing Boozer?
Who have the Cavs drafted to grow with James? Nobody.
They messed up from the start. And by the time FA was looming they got sscared and rushed to add players around him and they failed miserably. They added Shaq and then they had an opportunity to get Amare BUT they don’t trade JJ Hickson to get him????What a stupid front office. They settled for Antawn Jamison while they should have gave away Hickson and They might have won it all and still resigned LeBron. But atleast they still got Hickson for the future right? And no LeBron.

IknoBall12Participantsee ur not listening to the whole story. Steve kerr was interviewed on the dan patrick show and he said again that he never planned on trading amare to cleveland becuz they didnt have any parts that would have made them happy. i mean y the hell would the suns trade amare 4 jj hickson? its not like jj is jus sum breakout star waiting to get a chance. hes a really athletic 4 while stoudemire is a legit superstar 4. and again ur namin gshaq and jamison but wat ur not getting is lebron ASKED for those players. dont knock a front office 4 doing wat a star player ask.

IndianaBasketballParticipantGreat post.
LeBron did give Cleveland something in return though. He ended up doing a sign and trade with Miami giving Cleveland a huge traded player exception. I think Cleveland also got two future first round picks.
