Knicks close to signing pg Raymond Felton to multi-year deal, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Good signing? Bad signing? Better option than Farmar/Ridnour?

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantdoes that mean no tony parker 2011?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 11:12am #350512

sammybuckeye13ParticipantBrilliant. He helps fill out their lineup at the most important position on the floor, he’s a great distributor, and at 25 still has potential.

MagikKnickParticipantHopefully, it means Felton will be a hell of a backup in 2011
I guess it was expected, no way we started our season with Douglas or Rautins at our point, we needed someBODY
But my initial reaction after hearing MULTI-YEAR deal:

JP12akacoilParticipantR. Felton is the best PG in this years FA market… the Knicks, who desperately need a PG, are getting a guy who has developed into a very mature leader and player in Charlotte. I believe at 26 he is going to take his game to another level and hopefully it will be this year with the Knicks.

butidonthavemoneyWho needs LeBron?
King Felton.

knicksfan7ParticipantI am cool with getting Raymond Felton. My only problem is I hope D’antoni doesn’t wear him out, and he has to lose weight. Magikknick I love your style, great episode as well. I think the Knicks with this roster can make the postseason.

Russell0WestbrookParticipantRidnior would be a better pick up cuz he fits their style plus hes cheaper a better shooter and passer.

ScareCrowsRevengeParticipantHe can run the show IMO…He a Solid Top 20 Pg…A good starter…And even better I already had on the Knicks on the NBA2K10…Their line To my Knowledge
Felton-Chandler-Randolph-Amare-Turiaf-Gallo-Walker-Douglas-Azibuke-Jordan -Cancer I’m mean Curry
Rautins and Fields??? Do they even make the squad???If NY gets Felton I’ll gain alot of respect for them…They are starting to look like a Team…Not Top 4 By any Means…But they are battling for a playoff seed This Year…

MagikKnickParticipantCan someone print screen that? ScareCrow talked somewhat positive about the Knicks!

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantYou add Raymond Felton- Top 6 team in the East IMO.
I’m loving this so far. The Knicks are actually making moves!!!
Edit: Eh…Forget that top comment.

ScareCrowsRevengeParticipantI had to give the NY faithful some reality about LBJ( Lousy Blow Jobs)…You guys where flying off the handle…Now AR15 ( please give him the # 15 NY ) Is a big potential Sf/Pf in the Mold of Lamar and Bosh…That Amare, Felton, Chandler and Gallo in his rightful place as the 6th man…I think the Knicks are on their way to a showdown with The super Team In the Playoffs…The 1 vs 8th seed matchup…Going head to head with Bastard himself…If you check the facts…Read “Free Agents” and read some of the previous post I’ve made I always leaned on Lebron going to NY in some way or another…He became a villain In a lot of Cities Last Night…There’s a lot of people wishing he got thrown out the window of his High Rise apartment…

Russell0WestbrookParticipantIs this the same Felton that got dominated by Nelson in the playoffs?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 11:41am #350540
joecheck88Participantya knicksboy, u realized miami, orlando, boston, atlanta, chicago, and milwaukee are all as good or better than last year and that the atlantic divison took the top 3 picks oin the draft. ya, they arent top 6 but they are maybe a playoff team. ill take them over washington, philly, nj, detroit, and cleveland. that leaves ny and charlotte as 7 and 8 seeds. am i missing a few teams?

OhCanada-ParticipantYes Russell that would be the same Raymond Felton that Jameer Nelson dominated with much higher shooting percentages, scoring twice as many points and completing 5 times as many steals with rebounding and assists the same in Orlando’s sweep over Charlotte. Im not saying…Im just saying.

shipargosParticipantHe can put 10 assists in NYK system, and he is much better defender than Ridnour.
Charlottes ultra slow tempo has hurt his numbers..0

joecheck88Participanti agree that boston will probably rest most of the year for the playoffs just like san antonio who seem to hang around even though age should have flattened them a few years ago, they just keep comin.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 11:59am #350556

JNixonParticipantThey should’ve just developed Toney Douglas. Raymond Felton isn’t a better fit in their system than Ridnour is. Felton is limited by his lack of size on both ends, isn’t a very good shooter, and isn’t a great playmaker. Felton will not be the answer at PG for the Knicks. Mark my words.

bkballerParticipantFelton/TD
Buke/Walker
Gallo/Chandler
Randolph/Turiaf
Amare/Curry/Jordanenough for a max summer 2011
SOLID0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 5:45pm #350900

knicksfreakParticipantI’m kinda disappointed that we did choose Ridnour instead. He Is a much better distributor and shooter than Felton. Felton is undersized and not very athletic. I think Douglas has a higher ceiling. We are overpaying big time for Felton.
