SealioParticipantI just saw that according mike miller’s dad that he is going to the heat for a 5 year $30 million deal. I think if they can get someone like brad miller to take the minimum then that would be a solid starting 5:
PG – Chalmers
SG – Wade
SF – James
PF – Bosh
C – B. MillerMike miller coming off the bench to play the 2 or 3 and moving wade or James to the point and let chambers rest.
Also pick up someone like Jason Williams to back up the point

NYK2010ParticipantJust solid, that is a sick starting 5.
Sorry bout in a couple years Wade will surpass Kobe as the best SG.
Lebron is the best SF and Bosh is still a very good big man.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 8:43pm #349939

OldSkoolBasketballParticipanthas he agreed to the deal because I heard the Knicks might outbid or something.

llperezthat sucks, the lakers offered him the same 5 year 30 mill deal and he turned it down. Another reason i hope the lakers give the heat the business next season.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantIts because Mike Miller and Lebron are very good friends I think.

madcabParticipantA good pick up, but how can they give him that much money? They don’t have an MLE. It really depends on if they can work out another sign and trade.
Looking at another post, there are some decent bigs on the market that could help fill out the team, as well as a few pg’s.
possibilities:
Jason Williams (PG)
Etan Thomas (C)
Udonis Haslem (PF)
Mark Blount (PF/C)
Rafer Alston (PG)
Anthony Johnson (PG)Most of these players would sign minimum deals for a chance to win a ring. I don’t think Haslem has to, because Miami owns his “Bird Rights”.
Still they could use one “Combo guard” as a back up or Sixthman since they just traded Beasley away for nothing.
I’m an ATL fan, so I would be ok with trading our 1st round pick (Jordan Crawford) for say Pittman and a future 1st. We could use the depth at C. And the salaries could be close with a late first and an early second.

sayounhParticipantPerhaps it also has to do with the fact that he has a long history in Florida. He was a Florida Gator and he was drated by Orlando and played there for a couple of years.
