I know the Big 3 would take pay cuts… Do they need to trade Beasley??

If so, they are left with 4 players and 3 draft picks. Do they sign 5-7 guys to the league minimum???

What kind of players can they get to fill out the roster? I don’t like the Brian Scalbrene jokes but I can see this guy ending up on the team.

They either all take pay cuts or they do a sign and trade with Beasley and picks for Bosh.

And yeah they are left with 7 players, they can then sign Haslem because they own his bird rights, and sign a player like Shaq or a skilled player like say Mike Miller on the MLE.

You must remember, the NBA is all about a 7man rotation.

2010 Lakers: Fisher, Bryant, Artest, Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Brown
2008 Celtics: Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Garnett, Perkins, Brown, Posey
2007 Spurs: Parker, Ginobili, Bowen, Duncan, Elson, Oberto, Finley

You don’t need to stack your team and have a solid backup at every position, especially when you have players like Wade that can play SG/PG, Bosh can play PF/C, James can play PG/SG/SF/PF.

Just get a bigman off the bench and a combo guard off the bench, the rest can be scrubs.

If the Big 3 happens, there will be 5 or 6 guys that it will be funny to see on a championship team.

They had to denounce Haslem’s bird rights, if you have a players bird rights they have a cap hold. The NBA did this to make sure you pay for your players before you pay for others.

Everything is fluid, so it is hard to clarify. So many lies are being spread about this that I don’t think anyone believes a word that is coming out at this point. I’m still not believing LeBron will choose Miami, but that is besides the point. Some are saying that Wade and Bosh will take $1 million less than max to allow a deal to happen, but they would still not have enough money to give LeBron a deal that starts at more than $13.5 million. If they move Beasley for a future 2nd round pick (or something that involves nothing coming back on their cap this year), then they have max money for LeBron. If LeBron also agrees to a deal that starts at $1 million less than max, then the Heat will have those three, Chalmers, Anthony, and the ability to sign one more player to a deal worth $3.3 million before filling out the rest of the roster with players for the minimum. The thing is, however, if they move Beasley, I don’t know why Wade, Bosh, and LeBron would not all simply demand the max. All three would fit in that scenario. The Heat would have no cap room left, but what is the difference between seven minimum salary players and a $3 million guy and eight minimum salary players?

They cant use the MLE because they were under the cap to begin free agency. The MLE is only for teams that are over the cap.

They can still sign Haslem don’t get me wrong but they don’t have his bird rights anymore.

They have to renounce his rights in order to sign LeBron, so they wouldn’t be able to go over the cap to sign him.

just like john bryant said get a big man and another scorer off the bench. i see shaq teaming back up with his past teammates in wade and bosh. a.i. desperately wants a ring, i could see him going there too. if they are willing to take paycuts then they could bring more talent in.

they would all have to sign for about 15mil a year(max is like 16.6mil), with beasley and chalmers. what i see happening is a sign and trade with toronto(chris broussard said they would rather get something in return for bosh than nothing), bosh would get max 6 year deal and lebron and wade would take less money(they make good money in endorsments and bosh doesnt). beasley and picks to toronto. but i dont think lebron goes to miami, i think new york is the frontrunner now. but if those 3 ended up on miami they would have a team of the big 3, chalmers, pittman, varnado and desean butler and i think those players are all atleast late 1st round prospects in any other draft and they can help plus 5 minimum players. maybe john bryant impresses in summer league and the heat pick him up as a backup! LOL.
