Reports say the Bulls have signed Carlos Boozer to a 5 year 80 million dollar deal

I figure they would do this move and I like it but it will probably not be enough for Lebron though.

Only 80 million, I expected him to just wait for some team to overpay him. This is a good signing regardless of where Lebron goes but if Lebron went there you have to like their odds.

In the ESPN thing I picked Boozer/Bron to the Bulls, really did not think Carlos would sign there. I would think the Bulls have to be a strong favorite right now since they got Carlos. Boozer and Noah inside, James and Rose creating, it has to be the best actual team he could go too. Boozer himself was probably the best 2nd guy LeBron ever had, and Rose is a star. The Bulls needed to get somebody for it to make sense that LeBron sign there, and they did it. Has to hurt the Knicks chances, as they have so many question marks in the post, even with Stoudemire. So, going into tomorrow, it seems like it is between Cavs, Bulls, Knicks and I give an outside chance to the Heat, who would just turn the NBA upside down as far as having 3 players of that magnitude actually sign and play for a team. It would be a better version of the recent Celtics, I do not think Ray Allen or Paul Pierce were ever in the league of Wade/James, and Bosh is a poor mans Garnett. They do not necessarily have a Rondo, but they would not really need one as much as the Boston geriatrics do. Well, I am counting down til LeBron puts everyone out of their misery, but at the same time I thought the 8th would be around when he would sign, and he needed to see what pieces fall into place before casting his anchor. If he signs with the Cavs, man, he is one loyal dude, because it appears that people straight-up do not want to come to Cleveland. I think even people that love Cleveland still make fun of it sucking, lol. Well Cleveland, at least you got LeBron James for 7 years, any more would just be milking a dry cow.

I think Carlos Boozer just killed basketball in Cleveland. That was the last remaining bug free agent the Cavs could have gotten to play with James. No way James resigns with Cavs now. I’m saying he goes to the Bulls.

And I think Boozer pretty much made Ray Ray a lock for Chicago either way…He’ll wait for LBJ to make his decision…It actually means a lot to Ray’s future income next year…He’ll either sign as a MLE veteran or sign a nicer 6 to 10 million deal with the Bulls anyway…Thats a good spot for Ray IMO….

I was looking at my post from yesterday, that whole has to be LeBron thing seems to make little sense now. He may sign with them, but thinking about it more, that Miami thing would be super sweet. It would definitely make LeBron’s ascent to being considered in a category of Jordan and Kobe on an all-time scale that much more difficult, but at the same time,all I know is winning is a lot more fun than losing. LeBron and Dwyane will not have to average 30, Bosh won’t have to average 25, my guess though is that the trio will average between 72-75 points per game though. You really do not need much more on top of that to win a good number of basketball games, not to mention the defense and rebounding, hell all around games of those players making life so easy for their teammates. LeBron and Wade need the ball, Bosh needs his shots, but great players tend to adapt, and they are 3 great players. I was saying to my friend earlier, it is a consensus that LeBron/Wade are top 3 level players along with Kobe. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, at the height of their careers, were never in those guys league, I know I never considered them top 3 or probably even top 5 players in the league, though they both at one time were top 10. I know I considered Kevin Garnett as one of the better players in the league for a long time, he was in my top 5 not long ago, but when the Celtics came together, he was no longer the same player, he is definitely past his prime. Chris Bosh has the length and strength to mess with guys like Gasol and KG, which is something LeBron has been missing, as Andy Verajao was not on the level of those players and would usually have to guard the 5 anyway. Unless Antawn Jamison is shooting about 60% from the field and scoring well over 20 a game, he is not winning match-ups against the elite PF’s since he gets killed on the other end (see Garnett, Kevin, Second Round 2010). So, while the Bulls seem like a good fit as far as LeBron maybe taking a stab at being the undisputed best player on a good team, even with Boozer and Noah, the Bulls still have front court issues, plus neither are all that durable. He takes a risk no matter where he goes, but why not play with two world class talents and try and throw ego’s aside. He has won with those guys before, and it seems cool that he will take the chance and try to do it on the same NBA team. Plus, all of us who wondered why the best players didn’t just think about trying to form a super team, we get the chance to see what it is like. The super team fantasy to me has always been just as if not more appealing than the one man show. Also, I am guessing not to many people will want to play the Heat in 2k11. I can see a lot of GM’s wishing they would have the Heat job if these 3 players do all sign there.
