I’m not a Cavs fan, but I do like LeBron, and I think it would be better for his legacy if he stayed in Cleveland.

If he goes to play for the Clippers, he’s on Kobe’s turf. As big as L.A is, it’s not big enough for Kobe AND the KING.
If he goes to the Knicks, or the Nets, he will have just skipped town for a bigger market. All the glitz of being in the big city. Playing under the big lights.
If he goes to Miami, he’s on Wade’s turf. And let’s not forget, Wade has already one a title. Sure he and Wade could combine for a title, but where is the challenge in that?? Especially if they add a third star to the mix. The Heat already have a championship.
Chicago would be another city where he would almost be guaranteed a title (assuming top free agent followed him there…which they would). But he would never replace MJ in the hearts of Bulls fans, and would have to share a statue out front alongside Michael.

He needs to stay in his hometown, and show loyalty to the team that drafted him. It would be so much sweeter if he can get his ring that way, and bring a championship to a team that has never had one. The Cavs have come close a couple times, and have been willing to pull the trigger on trades to get them over the top. It’s not like they haven’t tried. The effort by the franchise has been there. I honestly believe they would break through within the next 3 years if LeBron stayed in Cleveland. And when he retired he could be to the Cavs what MJ was to the Bulls. His would be the only statue out front of the arena.

but there’s one problem-if he stays in cleveland, it’s gonna be much harder to get the championship as opposed to Chicgao, Miami or the Clippers

He wont win in cleveland. Theres no one there. As much as i agree with you saying he should stay, he wont. Lebron has to get out of cleveland.

There is no turf war with LeBron. Wherever he goes, he is the King. He wouldn’t have to worry about Kobe’s turf in LA, because he is better than Kobe. He doesn’t have to worry about Wade in Miami because he is better than Wade. The mysticism surrounding Jordan is entirely overblown. Jordan is done playing, and it isn’t as if the Chicago fans are opposed to seeing their team win because it might tarnish the greatness of Jordan.

He probably still stays in Cleveland, but if he wants to go it isn’t like there are going to be problems where he would land.

Everywhere you go ppl will say something.
The Cavs don’t have cap room or picks or young players that will improve sorry but J.J. Hickson isn’t that special.
The Cavs won’t be able to beat the elite teams in the East.

I think he actually will end up in Cleveland. I just really dont see him going anywhere else and putting on a different uniform. at least not until hes older and washed up like mj was.

And Orlando…I’m not sold on them completely. I love Howard, but I don’t like the way they are coached. They shoot way too many three point shots on the perimeter. Why not feed Howard more down low?

I really think if LeBron stays in Cleveland he will win a ring eventually. If he just “quits” on the Cavs I’ll lose some respect for him. If he want’s to be recognized as the best player in the game, then he should be able to win a title anywhere. He shouldn’t need his boys D-Wade, and Chris Bosh to get the job done. He’s got some good players around him. The Cavs have a talented roster. Maybe they just need a better coach (though I think Mike Brown did do a good job). I think a Phil Jackson kind of coach could help get that team over the hump.

I disagree about Boston. If they do what they did last season, coast and get a nice little draft pick then go hard in the playoffs? They could rebuild quickly.

Also, only players under contract after next season? Rondo, Big Baby and Bradley.
