JRdaFilipinoParticipantHey LLPEREZ… in case this didnt sink in yet.. this post was a RANT! A bum or not a bum, I don’t care… they were SO MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS the Knicks had and BETTER options as well, way more talented than Landry Fields… I understand you’re probably from the “west” and want the Pac-10 to be represented, but dont say someone doesnt know shit about basketball just because you like a certain player and others dont.
if he was WORTH KNOWING.. he would have gotten at least SOME BUZZ.. but no, he didn’t .. and the fact that there were more talented players that the Knicks still could have picked isnt the ONLY reason.
What position is Landry Fields, tell me… what, a SF? Yeah, I guess the Knicks really needed to add some depth there especially if ther trying to sign Lebron, smart move…
how about doing this to let it sink for you llperez
rank these players not only by their TALENT, POTENTIAL and SKILLL, but POSITIONAL NEED for the NEW YORK KNICKS

willie warrenyou’ll obviously have fields somewhere up there, right? ok, if ANYONE whos reading this post can put fields somewhere near the top, heck, even the TOP HALF.. then yeah, i apparently dont know SHIT about basketball, all these were options the knicks had at 38, 39.. saying he was a bum was wrong of me, but this was a RANT, and there were so many BETTER options the knicks had… obviously someone who can average 22 and 9 in division 1 basketball is not a bum, no shit, but compared to all the above prospects drafted after him, he isnt that great. now im curios, the hell thinks fields is so nice he deserved to be picked at 39?!?!?!???!!! lets see what the people think and who really doesnt know shit about basketball

llperezyou pretty much agree with me then. I never siad he would be great. I actually said the knicks should have gone a differnent direction. I called you or whoever it was out for saying he was a bum and acting like you never heard of him, and you admit you were wrong for that. So I guess we are on the same page now.

JRdaFilipinoParticipantno, i am not agreeing with you. fields still isnt all that great to me and the point of all this was that players like fields dont matter,, just because you know of a player from a bad school and conference doesnt mean you know basketball like ur a scout or somehing.. o cool.. my point is.. just coz u know of a plyer from standford whooptidoo u sure know a lot about basketball.. the only thing i took back was sating u was a bum.. OBVIIOUSLY anyone who can play division 1 basketball isnt a bum… anyways, only time will tell how good or not good he is but u seem to like this guy so lets see just how much basketball u know since u seem 2 fight for him and pac 10 so much.. lets see wat happens summer league and just how much u know

knicks82ParticipantI got an idea..how bout we just let the season play out, then we’ll determine if the guy is a bum or not. If Lance Stephenson ends up with better numbers than Fields, then Ill be a little pissed. Dont forget the Knicks bought Jerome Jordan from the Bucks. So they did fill a need in the draft.

llperezI know plenty. One player making it or not doesnt change that, epecially since i never said he would be anything special. I just tried to quiet dwon the he was an unheard of bum talk. His stats speak for themselves and it’s not like he did in the big sky conference or somehting. I just read today from an arizona sports site that the suns were gonna take him at 46 if lasted that long. I think if people had talked about fields on different sites, people would have given him more respect. But becasue his name was never mentioned, people act like he must be some scrub. Lots of people acted surprised by his selection, but to call him a bum was wrong. Saying you dont know shit was wrong of me though, for that my bad.
