jerb2011ParticipantWe all know there are players who aren’t in the right system for their talent and skill set, e.g. Hedo should have stayed in Orlando. Who are some other players who you think would fit better on another team or specifically who would fit best on your favorite team?

plasticmanParticipantJerryd Bayless. Stuck in crowded rotation on a team that doesn’t fully utilize his athletic ability, or scoring for that matter. Was considered to be every bit as talented as guys in his draft class like OJ Mayo, Eric Gordan, and Derrick Rose(maybe not him)

jerb2011ParticipantWhat team is Jerryd best for?

plasticmanParticipantAny team he can start for would be good for Jerryd. Off the top of my head…Knicks, Bobcats, Pacers, Suns, he would be a nice upgrade at the point for LA especially since they don’t need him to be a playmaker.

RicoParticipantJeff Green should really be playing SF.

llperezguys i think can play if given more minutes are:
martell webster-above average defender and he hit threes like crazy when given consistent minutes. Unfortunatly fernandez and batum seem to be the guys there over him in the rotation.
jordan farmar-i think he can produce outside the triangle and help someone possibly as a starter somewhere if he leaves the lakers this summer.
brandon bass-no way he should have gotten so few minutes last year with orlando. Guy can contribute and brings toughness as well as a solid offensive game.
nick young-with arenas sliding over to the sg spot next year, its unlikely he will ever thrive in washington. He has some solid skills.
nate robinson-boston was just not a good fit for him. He can play and contribute on a number of teams.

omphalosParticipantWhen it comes to Bayless he is perfect for a team with a ball-dominant, play-making 2-guard because it allows him to fall into the role of pure scorer. Ironically, Portland would be perfect for him if Miller wasn’t there. He could also work well with James wherever he ends up because of LeBron’s ball dominance and unselfishness.
Another player from Portland I feel should be given a chance to start somewhere is Australian Patty Mills. He did a great job against All-Stars in the 2008 Olympics and is one of the quicker players in the L. The logjam at point in Portland has me frustrated for players like Bayless and Mills who are having their growth stunted. Mills to Indiana would be great value to the Pacers and means they could use their #10 pick on a Xavier Henry or Paul George.
Really, Fernandez is wasted playing for the Blazers given that he won’t ever be top dog. He was a star overseas and should be given a chance to shine. The Nets could use an upgrade at the 2 and Fernandez is the right mix of experience and youth to complement Harris.
I really did mean to use examples from other teams, but Portland just has so many players it isn’t using right… oh well.

TRC1991ParticipantI think rodney stuckey should be playing shooting guard on a different team, he’s a great play-maker but not the best distributor and not a natural PG…
also, iguodala is a great athlete and a solid NBA player but he is definitely not a go-to-guy,,,hes best as a supportive #2 option for a playoff team that could use his versatility…i think he’d be best with a pass-first PG because he is ineffective without the ball

EntropyParticipantI think we can all agree that Michael Beasley is not in the right system or with the right coach to utilize his talent. If he is traded this off season i expect great things next season.

13kavakas soon as a team hires a head shrink as its coach he will be an all star

JNixonParticipantNick Young- He can’t defend, or do anything that doesn’t involve putting the ball in the basket, but he is talented at that. I think he can be a 15 ppg scorer in a different system.
Javaris Crittenton- He left school too early, but for a team like the Lakers he can be a perfect PG for their offense off the bench. He has the talent to be a starting PG in the triangle in a few years, but he’ll probably be a solid backup unless he improves his jump shot and gets more consistent.
Michael Beasley- Has put up good numbers playing beside a ball-dominant D-Wade, but he’s capable of being a 20 ppg scorer. To me, he’s a 6th man because he’s not a good defender and he’s too much of a combo forward. I feel all combo forwards are best used as matchup ploys off the bench. He also has to get more consistent. I also don’t know if moving him to a 6th man role would hit his confidence. I do think that he doesn’t compliment Wade as well as he could compliment a 1st option on another team.
Marvin Williams- I may be speaking prematurely, because the coaching change could FINALLY bring the best out of Williams. Williams has the potential to be a very lethal scorer, and only was able to show flashes with Coach Woodson’s offense. He can post up, spot up and shoot, pull up off 2 or 3 dribbles, and he can attack the rim in straight lines. All of those things make him a factor in the triple threat if he’s iso’d. He needs to improve his handle some more but he can score in the high-teens if used right. He also has the athleticism and size to defend the Lebron’s and Paul Pierce’s in the East.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantAl Jefferson or Kevin Love. One of these guys needs to go! They cannot play together and both play like true power forwards.

Counting StarsParticipantI think a change of scenery would do Kirk Hinrich some good. He is a great defender, but just not a shooting guard which he is mostly playing in Chicago. With Derrick Rose there, he won’t get a chance either.
Marcin Gortat is another guy I think is stuck behind a superstar. He played great when he got the chance, but with Dwight Howard holding down the center position, he won’t get many opportunities there.
