Public Opinion: The Lottery – New Jersey

The idea is to discuss what you think the Nets will do with their pick. I will read all of the comments and make a decision and move on to the next pick.

Washington selected John Wall Fr PG Kentucky
Philadelphia selected Evan Turner Jr SG Ohio State

(Not a lot of chatter on the Philadelphia post which is too bad. I have heard they are deciding between Turner and Favors at #2. They have come to an agreement with Sacramento to trade Samuel Dalembert for Andres Nocioni and Spencer Hawes. Will they draft Favors to play center? Will they start Hawes, Speights, or Brand there? Maybe they will trade down and to get DeMarcus Cousins to fill the void? With only one response I agree that they will take Turner and even if they trade the pick I think Turner will be selected second. They may start playing small ball with Holiday, Turner, Iggy, Young, and Brand.)

The consensus is that the Nets will take Favors at #3. Cousins is a possibility but his attitude raises red flags and Favors defensive presence and athletic ability would make a better fit with franchise center Brook Lopez. Wesley Johnson is a possible dark horse for the pick.
