Sources point out that the 13th pick will either come down to Bradley or Whiteside. I wonder who it will be.

Hopefully somehow BC come come away from this draft having gotten rid of Hedo and Calderon and having gained Paul George and Avery Bradley.

Hold off trading jose if possible. Let him play to form for three quarters of a season and get true value for him at the time where a playoff team with a glaring need for a strong backup pg will forkout a nice piece for him. He played under his standard last year and he’s got some nice aspects to his game that a playoff team will really want – Shoot, pass mistake free leader.

I don’t really like the idea of getting rid of Jose, kind of a big fan of him and last year he had a rough season that was riddled by injuries. Of course he is going to have trouble shooting and playing defense after a hamstring injury. But Calderon is a very efficient pg with low turnovers and high assists, he also shoots great percentages from every where on the floor. And defense, well he can’t really stay in front of pgs, but who can nowadays? He also brings a lot of attitude and has a big fan base. Gotta love the guy.

I also don’t want to trade Jack as he can play the 1 or the 2 and provides defense and leadership and is a good change of pace from Calderon.

I like the sign and trade idea, I’m hoping Houston cause they have lots of pieces to give to us in draft picks and young players. I love to get rid of Hedo, probably to Sac for Nocioni, which is good enough.

So I say keep both and you can still draft Bradley cause he is like Jack and can play both the 1 and the 2. They also need a big, I’d hope for a big tough guy like Udoh, Patterson or Aldrich if they slide, and if not Orton over Whiteside.

I think DeRozan can be a star and he is the future of the raptors franchise. build around him.

hold your horses on Derozan buddy…I’d love it if he was the new superstar but he has to show it in real game situations. He’ll get his chance, hopefully the skills and confidence have improved – he does have superstar potential, this is clear. He might be the most athletic wing in the bigs.

This is basically the last year of BC if he cannot manage to turnaround the Raptors. It’s a difficult task given the team is in a bad state that he did himself in.

I would love to see him dumping Calderon and Turkoglu for some value while not giving up young talent or pick. This can be done as I think both Calderon and Turkoglu are not as useless as what most people claim them to be. In a sense, Turkoglu was misused and he would be better in a different situation. Calderon just lost it, but he’s still a solid player. He surely should focus on getting better and stop wasting time with Team Spain (they don’t really need him anyway, it’s Ricky Rubio’s era).

On the draft end, I definitely would not want to see Avery Bradley on the Raptors. He’s a very bad fit. An undersized SG that can’t pass, but can play some defense (yet to be proven on NBA level) would not work in Toronto. He would be a bust waiting to happen if the Raptors draft him. I think Bradley is better fit with a ball-dominating SG like Brandon Roy or Dwayne Wade. The Raptors simply is not a good fit for Bradley (unless they keep Turkoglu and let him has the ball at SG, it may work).

I would like to see the Raptors to draft Hassan Whiteside and then hire the Dream as a big man coach to lead his development. Whiteside had been working with the DREAM for a while and should certainly work well under his guidance.

As bad as BC did so far, I think can at least get some vlalue out of a Bosh sign-and-trade if he acts tough. Let’s hope BC would not screw up again this year.

I agree with He Got Brain. Jose can play until the allstar break to raise his trade value, them ship him out. But if we do draft Bradley its never a good idea to go into a season with 4 PG’s. (Bradley, Jack, Calderon and Banks.) I don’t like the idea of trading Jack and no team is taking on Banks’ contract.

lol dude i think almost any team in the league would take banks right now because of his expiring contract lol…expiring contracts are like gold right now in the nba…and i dont believe we shud hold on to jose any longer..if u wanna develop the young dude’s and go young..ship him out for something decent..if anything a young player or a draft pick or so…i would like to keep jack tho he showed he could handle at the very least being a decent nba starting pg..if not a back up to a young pg if we draft or aquire one…i also beleive the raps should draft whiteside or then aldrich but preferably whiteside as he has more potential..and then S&T bosh for good value and this team isnt in too bad of a shape after all.oh yeah and i almost forgot..we got to trade hedo for a slize of pizza and can of sprite to truly make the off season a success…

Well, we need to start by trading Bosh, get something for him, get some young talent.
I say we trade him to the Heat for Michael Beasley, Beasley is still a very talented player and I think with a good role he can put up good numbers.

Next, we need to trade one of our PGs, neither are true starters and I think they are both incredible backups, Jose I personally think has always had more success as a backup, whether it was to Jack or Ford. I think we trade one and keep the other. Trade them to a team for a veteran starting PG, and maybe picks. Possibly to Portland for Andre Miller, or Steve Blake and a 2nd rounder. Use the 2nd rounder to get Parakouski or Caracter as a backup big man.Or you could go young and trade tehm to SA for George Hill maybe.

Lets assume we get Blake. And Parakouski. (although id love george hill.

We should also try to get another 1st rounder. We cna trade some backups (banks, wright) or cash to them. We can get Memphis’s 28th pick for Cash (and maybe Wright) With the first pick, we should get George, Babbitt, Udoh or Whiteside.
With the second pick we get either James, Pondexter or Stephenson if we get a big, or Lawal or Alabi if we get a wing.

Lets assume we draft Whiteside and Pondexter.

Next, lets get rid of Hedo. We could get a Sf to take his place in return. We could send him to NJ for CDR or Lee. Send him to NY for Wilson Chandler or to Sac for Nocioni.

    Lets assume we get Nocioni

I would also love to see Weems and Belineli get good minutes next year, I think they are both very talented and can put up good numbers if they had the chance.

IF all of this happens, this is what our roster looks like.

    PG: Blake- Jack or Jose
    SG: Derozan/Weems- Belinelli
    SF: Weems/Nocioni- Pondexter
    PF: Beasley- Johnson
    C- Bargnani- Whiteside/Parakouski

    Res
    Evans
    Banks
    Rasho

We can build around DD, Andrea and Beasley and even Weems can get good numbers if he reaches his potential. Blake is a good passer and shoots hte lights out. All of the draft picks hopefully pan out and i think we are a good team in a couple years, and a solid team next year that could fight for the 7th or 8th spot.

So, even though there are a ton of bad contracts, and were gonna lose Chris Bosh, I think if this happens we can still be in solid shape next year.

How many more times must I post this…

Trade Evans, Banks and Bellinelli for Diop, Thomas, and Aijinca
Charlotte desperately needs to get rid of cap space and it will cost them some assets.Whether people like it or not Diop is an ok rotation big man even thou his price tag is throught the roof.Thomas has unrealized potential but Brown should be sick of him by now.

Trade Turkoglu and Aijinca to Sacramento for Nocioni and the 33rd

Trade Calderon to New York for Curry and the 39th

Trade Bosh for Gibson, Johnson, Deng, Chicago’s 2010 first pick (#18), Charlottes 2012 first pick

    Release Curry.

Draft Aldrich, Bradley, Dominique Jones and Samardo Samuels

    PG-Jack, Bradley, Jones
    SG-Derozan,Weems,
    SF-Deng,Nocioni, Johnson
    PF-Bargnani, Thomas,Samuels
    C -Aldrich,Gibson, Diop

Possible. While all trades apear pretty balanced (from the perspective of a Toronto fan), there are a lot of moving parts in that there are multiple trades with players getting bounceed around, but that is how the NBA works, and BC pulls of some big trades.

The draft probably will not play out quite like that, as each of the first round picks are a bit optimistic. If Bradley is around by the second pick it was like 2005 when we passed on Granger, then passed on him again after he fell to us. If it happens that way it could work well.

Only problem with the roster is there appears to be a lack of shot creation aside from Jack (unless some players develop the ability). It would also be a pretty small team up fromnt, with Diop being the only BIG big. It could get us a good pick though.

Last thing, I bet that if Bosh leaves, he will go to Miami instead of Chicago. What I am hearing now. Unless we get about 3/4 first rounders, Beasley might not be enough. Miami has noon on contract.

    Trade Bosh for Joel Anthony, Beasley Miami’s 2010 first pick (#18), Miami’s 2011 1st Round Pick,2 of Miami’s 2012 2nd Round Picks

That Bosh trade is stupid. You never get fair value in a sign and trade.

    Only a Idiot doesn’t know that…

There can be quite a few picks involved though. That sounds about right. Not thrilled about losing Bosh though.

I have had a change of mind, and would probably be more selective in who I trade Calderon to, as he was a 9ast/game guy last year. He is worth more than the 39th and a chance to fire Curry. Maybe trade for someone next year, or trade him to NY for Curry, a future 1st and their 2nd/Duhon. He would actually fit well with Douglas being his defensive backup.

Anthony is a Free Agent this year I’ve heard. Plus, I don’t think the Raps can trade Bosh until the start of free-agency. Not sure though. That would mean we’d have to go with who Miami takes in the draft.

I like Aldrich, or Whiteside with the 1st pick. Might have to settle with Armon Johnson, or Bledsoe with the pick BC is planning on buying.

I like Toronto but the they knew that there’s a big chance of Bosh going somehwhere and they’re not going to let that happen without a roster shake-up… I have to disagree on moving Jose though because he has been a proven leader at the point for TOR… But I do think Jarrett Jack has some trade value… Moving Hedo would be tough but he certainly needs to go because he has been a cancer from the get-go…
