White ChocolateParticipantAdrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports says:
“Sources say the Kings are also still open to trade possibilities, and Detroit and Utah are two teams eager to move up in the draft. The Pistons’ Tayshaun Prince could be intriguing to the Kings, who are eager to add a veteran small forward to the roster.”
Two trades that I could see going down and who the Jazz and Pistons would pick at #5 and who the Kings would take at #7 and #9 :
Trade #1: Pistons trade Tayshaun Prince and 7th pick to the Kings for Andres Nocioni, Donte Greene, and the 5th pick.
In this case I think the Pistons would take DeMarcus Cousins with the 5th pick and the Kings would take Greg Monroe with the 7th pick.
Trade #2: Jazz trade C.J. Miles, Kosta Koufos, Ronnie Price, and the 9th pick to the Kings for Andres Nocioni and the 5th pick. The Kings would buy-out Ronnie Price’s contract and then the Jazz would sign him.
In this case I also think that the Jazz would take DeMarcus Cousins with the 5th pick and the Kings would take Aldrich or Whiteside with the 9th pick.
Rosters with trade #1:
Pistons
PG Rodney Stuckey
SG Ben Gordon
SF Jonas Jerebko
PF Charlie Villanueva
C DeMarcus CousinsKings
PG Tyreke Evans
SG Francisco Garcia
SF Tayshaun Prince
PF Jason Thompson
C Greg MonroeRosters with trade #2:
Jazz
PG Deron Williams
SG Wesley Matthews
SF Andrei Kirilenko/Andres Nocioni
PF Paul Millsap
C DeMarcus CousinsKings
PG Tyreke Evans
SG Francisco Garcia
SF C.J. Miles/Omri Casspi
PF Jason Thompson
C Cole Aldrich/Hassan WhitesideThoughts?

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantI really like this trade actually, both teams benefit really well, I am not sure though if the Kings want to give away Cousins though because from what I’ve heard they have high interest in him. Other then that this trade looks very sound and ideal.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantI really like this idea, it really does help both teams,

piratejpParticipantKing should just take Cousins if he’s there for them – he fills their biggest hole. They’d be stupid to trade back unless they are convinced he’s a total head-case (but I’m not buying that).
Draft Cousins at 5, take a SG or combo guard at 33, and if they want to add a veteran SF, do the Noc for Turkoglu deal if that’s a real possibility.

dwill4mvp94ParticipantI really like the trade for the pistons and the jazz, but i dont think the kings are going to give up a great player in DeMarcus Cousins

JazzinSLCParticipantThat the Pistons would want to give up Prince and the 7 pick to only move up two spots. Not to mention Cousins could get drafted by New Jersey at 3 or Minnesota at 4 (making the assumption he’s their target to begin with). The Jazz wouldn’t take Cousins if you offered them the kid for a bag of pretzels and a twinkie. If he fell to nine in the draft, they would pass on him. They only draft good character guys. Now Monroe…that’s a possibility (it’s well known they covet him). They would also most likely have to offer up Kirilenko to get Sac Town to make that deal. Miles and scrubs, along with the 9th pick probably wouldn’t be enough.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantI think if both Monroe and Cousins were on the board they would take Monroe, they really like him, he had a great workout with them and he fits perfectly in their system. I think his workout is what’s fueling any trade speculation concerning the Jazz and the draft because before they seemed content to pick at 9 (not bad for having traded a useless Tom Gugliotta 6 years ago), but Monroe made them realize they’re in a position to really grab a difference-maker who would be great for them.

JazzinSLCParticipantAnd his contract, and get Monroe in return, I’d dance a jig on top of my house wearing only my boxers, and my house slippers.

donthateParticipantI don’t know if I should laugh or whatever but that would be a very stupid trade for the Kings. Prince? LOL!!! I’ll leave now. Thanks.

frijole ghostParticipantbut cousins won’t be there at #5 for detroit…dude was ramming 17 footers in his sac workout – hit 78% of all the shots he took…he won’t be falling out of the top 4
