    Warriors are the worst rebounding team in the NBA by a wide margin:

    Team Rebounding Differential:
    1. Cavs +4 rbs/game (best in NBA)
    .
    .
    20. T’wolves -0.5 rbs/game
    .
    .
    29. Pacers -5.1 rebs/game
    30. Warriors -9.7 rebs/game

    What would it take to acquire Kevin Love? He is not only one the best young rebounders in the NBA but can shoot from long distance which fits the both the needs and style of GS. He would fit well with Stephen Curry too especially with his outlet passing ability.

    Which of the following trade scenarios seem most fair/likely:

    1. Randolph for Love even up
    2. Randolph + 6th pick for Love + 16th and 23rd pick
    3. Randolph + 6th for Love and 16th
    4. Randolph + 6th for Love and 23rd
    5. Randolph + 6th for Love
    6. Other

    If I am the Wolves I would jump on the Anthony Randolph and 6th pick for Love. I don’t see Golden State doing this unless they got back something like the 16th and/or 23rd.

    First, Kevin Love is a good rebounder but by no means a special difference making rebounder. The only man in the league who really alters games because of his rebounding is Dwight Howard. Players scatter when he goes for a board. Opponents are less likely to crash due to the fact that he is stronger, more athletic, and knows how to use his elbows. Kevin Love is a guy. He gets a lot of rebounds, but what is the value added when considering he is overweight, his conditioning is poor, and he struggles to finish inside because he plays below the rim. He also does not have the nimble feet of Glen Davis to compensate defensively. On a good team, he is DeJuan Blair and is a matchup play. A team would be foolish to give up the sixth pick for that.

    Golden State is a laughably bad team, and they still need to bottom out. Dump the long contracts, new GM, new coach, new owner, and a system that plays ball on both ends. I would be incredibly disappointed if they were so unaware of their place in the NBA as to try to fill a need to go from 26 to 29 wins will little hope of getting better than that.

    Kevin Love was the league leader in rebounds per 48 min. By definition that is a difference maker, a rebound is a rebound no matter what you think…. not to mention he’s the best off. rebounder in the league. Figure it out.
