Mr.CreativeParticipantWell, its a no-brainer. Wall and Turner will most likely get picked #1 and #2, respectively. However, for the Class of 10′, who do you see as potential draft busts, potential stars for many years to come and who will breakout during their rookie year?

OhCanada-Participant-Whitesides development is gonna be rushed unless he goes to Houston or lower he will be a definite bust
-I see Wesley Johnson becoming lasy and just become a role player sort of like Brewer did-Trevor Booker is this years Millsap, Blair type player
-Samardo Samuels is gonna be a great role player if he goes to a team who needs a PF-Terrico White should breakout and surprise everyone. He has alot of individual workouts and we may see him go mid 1st.
-Pattrick Patterson seems as ready as anyone in this draft to become a solid pro.-Avery Bradley is gonna be this years Jennings and compete for a ROY if he goes to Indiana Toronto Memphis Boston Miami or Chicago

B-ball fanParticipantbust: Robinson-he has a fairly low bball IQ, and I don’t think he would get the attention he does if his team wasn’t UConn. He doesn’t have a very high skill level for a player who will need to play as a wing on the next level
sleeper-Randle-He has good court vision and real playmaking skill to go along with his outstanding quickness and nba range. His height may stop him from being a consistent starter, but I think he definitely should be drafted. He could become an excellent back-up pg in the NBA.
Star: Wall-his playmaking skills in this draft are unmatched
Breakout rookie year: This depends a lot on the team they are on and what kind of playing time they get, but Greg Monroe could produce immediately with his all around game, as could Patrick Patterson. If given the playing time, Babbitt could score a lot.0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/06/2010 - 4:21am #327766

MagikKnickParticipantBUST: Derrick Favors, Daniel Orton

BlazermannParticipantbusts: i like him but its got to be favors
star: lance stevenson even tho it seem like he’s always on facebook lol
sleeper: travor brooker im realy high on this guy he’s krazy long and athlectic* and really fast @ the 4 if he gets some real handle and mid range he would be a mis match at the 4 spot man0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/06/2010 - 6:29am #327825
leppyParticipantbiggest bust- demarcus cousins. he has a lot of hype and no work ethic. i think people just expect him to do more than other high touted bust i would put up here. aminu, davis, whiteside, hayward those players are just expected to be stars at best but cousins is talked about like a future superstar.
biggest sleeper- vasquez or booker. depends on who ends up in the right situation. both players produce. it doesnt matter if people think they are slow or undersized theres a lot more to the game
best potetial to become a star not named turner, wall- Derrick Favors extremely talented, extremely raw

Pierre JordanParticipantIf you guys think DeMarcus Cousins will be a bust, then you guys know NOTHING about basketball. In JUST 23 minutes a game, TWENTY-THREE, the guy averaged 15pts, 10rbs, and 2blks on 56%!!!! The guy will be a phenom man, he was playing so well while having to play next to and established guy (like what Favors had to do) that futher decreased the amount of touches he’d get. You guys are buying into this media crap about how he has no work ethic or how he doesn’t play hard at times. If the guy goes in for 23 mins and gives THAT type of production at 6’11 292lbs…. there is NO WAY he slips past #2.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/06/2010 - 7:22am #327851

sheltwon3ParticipantPierre Jordan I see your point but the thing is guys more talented have screwed up their careers.
I doubt it will happen but Cousins does show all the signs of a potential busts.
Davis could be a bust
Hayward if picked too high could be a bust but if he gets picked late 1st could be a solid role player
Favors should be fine if he goes to NJ.
He would be competing against Yi and he has a freak body.He will be a decent player just off his raw talent and body.
No offense but doesn’t Lebron who lacks a lot of solid offensive skills get hyped just because he is a physical freak of nature.

MagikKnickParticipantI completely agree, i mean, everyone has a chance to be a bust, bust Cousins is as close to ‘bust-proof’ as it gets, a double double in 23 minutes a game, not to mention the 2bpg and the 56% shooting that Pierre Jordan pointed out, those are good numbers, for 33 minutes a game, let alone 23. I think Cousins is the best big man in this draft by a good margin
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/06/2010 - 7:27am #327857

sheltwon3ParticipantYou kind of know that Orton will take at least 2 years to be a solid rebound, defense, with a lil offense type big man. I doubt he does not become this at least. I mean really. What kind of stats are you expecting.
Look at Kendrick Perkins stats. They don’t awe you but if you could take a big man in the top 15 who can give you Perkins type minutes then you would think your draft was pretty good.
Orton is this kind of player and maybe more.
I have seen Johnson play and seen how he move during watching some of his highlights. He will not be a bust but I can see why people are saying it because his hype was unreal but if he goes 4-8 then he is where he should be. He is a 2nd or 3rd option and a spot up shooter with great athleticism. He would have to join a defensive minded half court team not to score 10 points as a rookie and that would not make him a bust.
He could go to Detroit though so that makes thing interesting.

MagikKnickParticipantSheltwon, what are the ‘signs of a potential busts?’
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/06/2010 - 9:12am #327917

JNixonParticipantYea I don’t see bust. I don’t think he’ll be the “next Shaq” though, as some people have said. I think in his best season, his numbers will be like that of Al Jefferson’s when 2 seasons ago when he was a borderline All-Star (21 and 12).
