Mr.Knick 32ParticipantIf he can hit the 16-20ft shot constantly….he could be the best overall guard in the game.

esperanzafleet69Participantrondo is a great complementary player… he especially excels on boston cause they are full of scorers…
rondo’s main flaw is his lack of ability to create his own shot… but he is AMAZING at creating for others..

llperezwinning a title isnt everything. Rodno was the 4th best player on that title team. Bringing not having a title up to bring down paul, nash or dwill is kinda weak. Im sure they would have had a title if they were on that team as well. And all those guys have had great games in the playoffs.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI’ve said it time and time again: You can’t win a title by yourself. He wouldn’t have those assists if his teammates weren’t finishing and making outside shots. And have you seen D-Will during this year’s playoffs? He’s more than held his own.Sure, he missed that shot yesterday, but that happens from time to time.

stanford hoopsolack of ability to create his own shot?..complimentry player?..lol both of those are laughable. this isnt korver or some other marksman that needs picks to score. this is a guy who drives past who’s guarding him or crosses them up to score. creating his own shot is no problem what so ever

JNixonParticipant“rondo’s main flaw is his lack of ability to create his own shot… but he is AMAZING at creating for others..”
He can create for whoever he wants too. He has shown he can create for himself. No player can keep him out of the lane. He could create his own shot all day long if he wanted, but he’s so unselfish that he uses his slashing ability to make plays for others more often. Rondo has shown he can be a great scorer from the PG spot.

RickyRubio9ParticipantIn my opinion..
D-Will is Number 1.. Better at Scoring, Better at Passing, & Less Talent around him.
CP3 is 2. He’s real crafty with the ball & he also rebounds pretty good for a Point.
Then It’s Rondo..for now.0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/09/2010 - 1:49pm #309054

whyyouhatingParticipantpeople want him to shoot jumpers and score from the mid range or hit threes.
It is not his game and he doesn’t look for those shots, he looks to pass and get into the lane.
He is the best player for Boston… people keep saying he only gets those numbers because of the big 3.
These playoffs prove the kid gets his assist and numbers because he can get by anyone and is a great passer.
Peirce is having a bad series and really hasn’t balled all playoffs, KG has been inconsistent.
Ray is playing ok in this series and he still is averaging over 12 assist a game.
It’s not pretty what he soes but he is effective and is a top 5-10 PG in the league right now and this year a all star0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/09/2010 - 1:57pm #309058

B-ball fanParticipantI think he is the third best pg in the NBA after Paul and D-Will. And he is the Celtic’s leader. He is the star player of a playoff team playing competitively with Cleveland (I don’t think the C’s will win the series, but I predict it will go 7 games), not a “complementary player.”

Same goes for the Bulls. Rose is the most talented player on that team but you could argue that Noah is their most important player. As he goes, so do the Bulls. He was a monster in he playoffs just as Rondo has been.

dolla130Participantok and Drose avg almost a double double in that series and was a rookie and Drose can do anything rondo can do except play D and he is improving on that and rondo is a slightly better passe, people look at what rondo is doing in the playoffs and assume that the BIG 3 has nothing to do with his play which is false because they might not be playing well but opposing coaches respect them because on any giving night they all can score 20 to 30 points and that respect allows rondo to rebound get 1on1 defensive coverage its not like he is playing with less talented players whom coaches don’t respect rondo is a great pg but when he does it being the best player on the team and the number 1 defensive assignment then we will see how good rondo really is
