heard of a single person whos said Whiteside is the next David Robinson. Whiteside’s stock is falling so fast it’s not even funny. Most likely a mid first round pick. He has no choice but to leave because he’s having a tough time being eligible at Marshall. I agree on Ebanks. He won’t be a very high pick anyways if he decides to come out this year.

people are getting a lil carried away with bledsoe because of what he did against east tenn st. he could probably be a first round pick but that would be a big mistake. hes turnover prone and unlike wall hes not tall nor does he rack up ast. he should come back to prove he can handle PG duties. he never reminds me of cp3 because he doesnt have the vision or ability to make others better. reminds me alot of darius washington

NBADraft.Net..Compared Whiteside to Robinson..And they aren’t the only 1..A scout for the Spurs that came to watch him play..Compared him to a young David Robinson..I’ve watched him play on TV and in person..He does have a chance to become great ..They’re not talking about the Robinson when he was with the Spurs..They’re comparing him to Robinson’s 1st few years at Navy and the player Whiteside might become and style of play is similar to…This season he was confused trying to please his coach…And he was thinking too much..Causing his man to get the upper hand….

Luke Babbitt needs to just build on his offensive arsenal, which is already very polished. He’s never going to be athletic enough to be a good defender. He’s got the ability to be a mismatch offensievly though. He can play with his back to the basket or he can shoot jumpers.

People have this misconception that staying is somehow a bad thing. It only hurts the players who can’t play. If a player gets drafted in a slot above his abilities, he is far more likely to be out of the league than a guy who might slip in the draft but can actually pay a role. The difference in what a player gets on the rookie scale pales in comparison to what the differences are in the second contract.

People love to point to guys like Hibbert and Noah. If Hibbert went high in the lottery, his name would be in the same sentence as Olowokandi and Darko. He is big, slow, and somewhat skilled. When he faces length and athleticism, he struggles. He does reasonably well when he he has length and size on his man. Nothing he does is quick, so if he doesn’t have to worry about someone flying in and swatting him he has the skills to be decent. As the 17th pick, he is just decent enough to be acceptable. The same with Noah. Had he gone number one, that side spin shot that no one respects would be a much bigger deal. Right now, it is acceptable that he is a center who does all the grunt work without demanding touches. The top picks are expected to do more.

A guy like John Henson could easily going to be a lottery pick in 2011. The past month has really been a coming out party for him. Is he ready to be a guy who makes a heavy impact next year? No, but by the time he comes around for a second contract it really won’t matter if he was drafted third in 2011 or 17th in 2010. The strength and experience will come around. I could not fault him with whatever decision he may make.

Monroe will be a top ten pick whether he comes out this year or next. The only difference is whether he enters the NBA with the strength and experience of a 20 or 21-year old. That skill set and intelligence is not going to change from this year to next. He is only going to get more physically mature, and any team that would pass on him is probably going to be a team that isn’t that well run anyway. He is certainly a guy who would make up any lost money in his second contract, because his floor is as high as they come. Even if there is a lockout in 2011, he go can the Rubio/Childress route. He can probably get a blank check from Olympiakos or Real Madrid to lead either one of those teams to a Euroleague championship for a year or two.

Kyle Singler is not a guy who will drastically alter the direction of a franchise. In the right fit, he can be a solid rotation player. In a less ideal fit, he can struggle to find minutes like DaJuan Summers, Derrick Brown, and Joe Alexander. Derrick Brown has actually been pretty good when he has played, but the combination of who Charlotte has (Jackson, Wallace, Diaw, Thomas, and Graham) as well as a coach who does not have a lot of patience with rookies has given him limited time this year. This is going to be true whether he enters this year or next. Staying an extra year will only allow him more time to work on adjusting to being an NBA 3.

Yeah if Bledsoe goes he’s gonna be taken in the first round almost by default because 1) he’s playing on a high profiled team who’s poised to make a deep run and 2) because of the lack of pg depth in this draft. He’ll be taken maybe after the 20 or so, cause at that point team almost have nothing to lose with their draft picks and they are usually winning teams who don’t really need immediate help from a rookie. But he probably should stay cause he doesn’t seem to understand pace and play with a poise and control that you would want an NBA point guard to play with. Often times he’s outta control and makes inexcusable mistakes which comes as no surprise being that he’s a freshman. He should stay if he wants to personally get better at being a point guard and come in better prepared to run an NBA team which will help him have some longevity in this league. But if he bolts, its hard to blame him.
