People who say Kansas has a tough bracket are fools

i agree. The best team they would probably face before the elite 8 would be Maryland . It’s not as tough on their half the bracket, but the bottom half is brutal. Tennessee, San Diego St, Gerogetown, OK State, G Tech, and Ohio St are all dangerous. But like you said, they would only have to face one of those teams.

i agree..and while i think there is some other talented teams in this bracket, besides ohio st..all the other teams are solid but not consistent..tennessee did beat kentucky and kansas during the yr which is impressive not sold, just got crushe by kentucky, ok state a good team but james anderson is relied upon heavily and thats not great. g tech to young inconsistent(7-9 in acc) and gtown is good right there with ohio state. but if kansas is as good as everyone thinks and are the #1 overall seed and can not win one game against them…i think it would speak more about kansas than how great that bracket was overall

Maryland and Michigan State have great coaches, and Michigan State in particular ranks as the most dangerous No. 5 seed, I think. Izzo’s record in the first game of NCAA Tournament weekends is absolutely absurd, and that would mean Kansas likely in the second weekend. And no one wants to face Greivis Vasquez, one of the most determined players in the country.

Additionally, Northern Iowa and UNLV make up a dangerous 8/9 matchup, certainly more so than most of the 8/9 matchups.

And yeah, Ohio State is the best No. 2 seed. Georgetown might be the best No. 3 seed. Tennessee is an absurd No. 6 seed, with wins against the top two teams in the country.

As I pointed out in my column, including Self, there are four coaches who have won national championships in this bracket and four more who have made Final Fours.

It’s the toughest bracket. And Kansas shouldn’t have to deal with this as the top team.

I said that and I, sir, am not a fool. Adi beat me to the punch but I was going to bring up Izzo and Vasquez. There really isnt much else to say. Well done Adi.

Also, maybe you guys don’t get it, but that’s how the brackets work. No. 1 seeds rarely ever go up against 8/9 seeds or 4/5 seeds that on paper can match up with them. The games aren’t played on paper though.

i see both points. The overall bracket for kansas is the toughest of all the one seeds. I agree with that. BUt as for their 1st 3 rounds, i don’t think unlv/northern iowa/ mich st/ maryland/ is exactly muderers row compared to what the other number 1’s are gonna see. But they defenitely will face the toughest elite 8 game imo.
