    Should stay in school
    Ed Davis
    Eric Bledsoe
    Willie Warren
    Renardo Sydney
    Kemba Walker
    Avery Bradley

    Should go pro
    Favors
    Whiteside
    X. Henry
    Cousins
    Monroe

Who else would you add to either list?
You don’t want to stick around when you could be a top 10 pick. Look at how far Ed Davis and Craig Brackins fell this year, by coming back. Then again it’s not the rookie contract that you want, it’s the 2nd contract where you make all the money!

i agree. out of all of those i think monroe would have the best chance of raising his stock if he came back though. they would return all there key players and unlike davis who came back monroe is very very skilled instead of being a athletic potential player

Man, must be nice to be gassed up out of HS

Kemba Wlaker is a bum, and i dont say that often. Just consdier how nice AJ Price was, and he almost went undrafted. SMH Bottom line, all these guys should go forreal. Because most of them are not as good as scouts think (Ed Davis, Walker, Bradley) so they better leave now or get exposed later.

Guys like Monroe, Cousins, Favors are defined in what they bring and will likely be in the same draft range whenever they decide. The posers, though, go while you”ve got em fooled.

not sure bout walker but bradley’s game has never been in doubt. very nice midrange and deep and driving ability and athletic. the only question has been can he play the pg position. i think he can but would be best if he stayed just one more year. and walker is far from a bum

Johnny Kilroy good list. I don’t think Ed Davis should stay in school to me he is good enough to be a borderline lottery pick, no reason to pass that up. As for the guys that should go pro you listed, I don’t think any of them but Monroe and Cousins is good enough right now for the next level, but you don’t pass up being a lottery pick.

As for others that should stay:
    Jimmer Fredette
    Luke Babbitt
    Armon Johnson
Larry Sanders (though I heard he is graduating in May from VCU, smart kid)

    Should go pro
    James Anderson
    Dominique Jones
    Eliot Williams

Walker will come out this year for a couple reasons. One, UCONN is losing two important seniors in Jerome Dyson and Stanley Robinson. Given the fact that they already struggled this year 17-15 or something, they won’t be getting better next year with a not so great supporting cast and really no blue chip recruits coming in. Also, next year’s PG class is 10x stronger than this years. If Kemba comes out this year he will be the 2nd point guard off the board behind John Wall. If he waits until next year he has to battle with PG’s like Kyrie Irving, Brandon Knight, Cory Joseph, Armon Johnson, etc…. Walker has improved his outside shooting, is lightning quick (quickest player in college bball and would be top 5-6 quickest in NBA), is a lockdown defender despite being 5’11”, athleticism off the charts (.5 blocks a game from a 5’11” pg says it all athletically). He does tend to play a little out of control at times, and he has trouble finishing at the rim but other than that, what’s not to like? He will be picked somewhere between 15-20 if he comes out this year and may slip if he waits until next year.

walker may come out but thats not a good reason as to why. many players come back to teams that arent gonna be good the next year. as a matter of fact most players comeback to a team thats not gonna be as good. kemba did it this year and so did stanley robinson. damon james did it,aminu did it,ed davis did it. most players that come back do it.

he may slip if he comes out or he may help his stocl like..scheyer,vasquez,damon james, evan turner, pat patterson…etc

Most of those guys came back to teams that could’ve potentially been better, they just had underachieving seasons. Or because they weren’t ready

Everyone thought Texas would be good at the beginning of the year, and they had alot of their key players returning and some inexperienced guys developing. They just had a bad season unexpectedly. Damion James also wasn’t a 1st round lock at all last year.

UConn had a chance to be at least as good as last season it seems. They only lost AJ Price, who already had an heir apparent in Walker, and Thabeet, who they thought would be adequately replaced by the committee of Oriahki and Majoc (sp?). Robinson wasn’t a true 1st round prospect last season either (he only played like half of the year).

Ed Davis was no where near NBA ready. I can bet that he thought UNC would be good this year too. He didn’t return thinking UNC would be a team that wouldn’t play in the NCAA tourny, let alone not being a tourny team at all.

Al-Farouq Aminu wasn’t NBA-ready at all, so that’s why he returned. He also

aminu was gonna go top 10..sorry players go back because they wanna either get better or better there draft status. a lower percentage come back because of what the team can do…i asked my brother about this last week and all his nba friends that came back did so not with what the team would do in mind but to raise there draft stock. they felt if they came back and had a better year they would raise there stock. if players get a promise that htey will go lotto or first round the majority of them are gone. fans may think its about team but in reality it isnt in most cases

and many players go into the draft without being nba ready….its all about where you will go in the draft and or promises thatare made to you. and in many cases its about dumb advice

Yea Aminu would’ve been a lotto pick, but he knew he wouldn’t be NBA-ready and he would get the feature role at Wake. That’s why he returned.

Guys may return to teams that end up being worse in most cases, but the guys I talked about where guys who had underachieving seasons after having high expectations when they returned. Happens alot. Everything has to go just right in most cases, but it didn’t. Some of those guys just plain old weren’t ready and wouldn’t be likely to play a bunch off the bat in the NBA. They knew they’d get a feature role if they returned.

like i said sometimes they come back because of team or they are not ready..most of the times they dont though. most dont care if they arent ready. they know there draft buzz is high and may not get any higher.. im pretty sure they even convince there selfs that they are ready. and uconn wasnt expected to be as good this year and neither was unc of course

Maybe not quite as good, but UNC was the number 5 team in the country at the beginning of the year, and UConn was a top 15 team. They might not have been exactly as good, but they both had the looks of teams that could reach the 2nd or 3rd week of the tourny by most.

but not as good. those players went back to improve there draft stock. davis didnt do a great job of that but walker prob did. and actually aminu hasnt really hurt nor helped his stock since he’s porjected to get drafted around the same area he would have gone last year….another reason some go back is because a draft is stocked at there position or the talent level is very high
