quinceyhodgeshave they proven the theory of per48min?..im sure they arent playing 48 but wit the extended minutes have there numbers jumped going by the per48 formula?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 8:01am #261255

Anton123ParticipantYou also forgot Kevin Martin, I think he didn’t make the Rcokets better at all
Jamison started awfully, but now is playing good b-ball
Darko isn’t doing bad… shockingly enough
Nate not doing anything at all.
Landry playing OK, must be happy that he is starting finally.
Haywood is really good, many times better than Dampier0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 8:03am #261257
quinceyhodgesyeah i figured id forget a coupel of players..whats was drako doing before the trade, i know right now hes getting 20min a game and averaging 4pts 5 reb and 2 blks
i noticed haywoodis looking very well
sergio is putting up 7pts 4ast in something like 27-29min. i think thats actually better then duhons averages with the knicks.. havnt checked it out yet0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 8:21am #261259
quinceyhodgesforgot to add nick young even though he wasnt traded there was alot of talk about how good he woulddo if butler and antwan wasnt on the team

M-DYMESParticipantI’m telling you I have been very impressed with Darko. Its not that he’s putting up extraordinary numbers but he is bring energy, better ball movement, and he is starting to become a bit of a defensive presence. Take it that this is coming from a T-Wolves fan, but I am pleasantly surprised. He also is getting a very warm reception in Minny from what I hear. I hope he comes back.

NYK2010ParticipantDon’t forget the great Jordan Hill 9 mins, 2pts, 0-3 fg, 3 rebs he hasn’t even been good enough to get back up mins.
Kmart will help the Rockets in the long run next year, Haywood has been good so far definately had an impact.0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 8:39am #261265

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI am really confused that Sergio Christ hasn’t taken over New York yet. All those posters kept writing about how he was just bottled up behind those Hall of Famers named Steve Blake and Beno Udrih. He just needed an opportunity, right? How is it that now that is getting Chris Duhon’s backup playing starter minutes role that he is putting up the same numbers as Duhon? Mind blowing stuff.

llperezhonestly, i think all of those guys except darko and TMac(obviously) look like the same exact player they were with their old teams.

quinceyhodgesi forgot about jordan hill. i will give him a pass though because hes a rookie and he didnt have a million post about if he got more minutes he would be doing alot better.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 8:46am #261268
quinceyhodgesthats the guys alot of knicks fans on here said they wanted to be there starting pg of the future and said i was hating for saying im not buying him being a starter based on his past and the guys he couldnt beat out in portland and sac right?

gatorheelsParticipantTyrus Thomas….balling
26.8 minutes, 12.8 points, 7 rebounds, 1.8 assits, 1.2 steals, 3.4 blocks
58% FG !
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 8:58am #261273
quinceyhodgesforgot about him…hes actually putting up 2 more points onemore reb and 2 more blks hen his previous best season..not bad
forgot to add taj..with tyrus gone hes putting up 13p 9reb and 2 blks whileshooting over 50 percent
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 9:24am #261286

DanEboyParticipantTaj has been stepping it up lately! Tyrus who?????????
Also, Warrick has been playing well with more minutes then he ever got with the Bucks.
Heels……..I can literally hear the clock ticking on when Tyrus will start acting up…..it’s coming….watch for it.
And I know this is off subject but what is up with Batum’s line yesterday? 31-7-7 3stl, 5-8 from 3, and 0 turnovers. What can this kid be?? He is still just 21.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 9:27am #261287

gatorheelsParticipantTaj has been playing better. Warrick has also surprised me so far.
Tyrus will not act up haha
Wow… I didn’t even notice that Batum put up those #’s…impressive
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 9:46am #261296
doubledribblerParticipantI think Batum has a high ceiling, I just don’t think he will fully reach it until he leaves Portland. Same for Rudy. Neither guy is going to have the opportunities to play their full game with how the team is constructed, but I do think that McMillan will be good for helping teach Batum how to play the game the right way.
Tyrus has been impressive for the Bobcats. I think getting traded gave him a jolt. Plus he’s probably realizing he has to step it up to get a nice contract next year. I think the Cleveland and the Celtics are going to want to hope they don’t face the Bobcats. Celtics don’t have the athleticism and they are probably the only team that has at least a couple of guys that matchup well with Lebron defensively.

quinceyhodgesi think batum will be pretty good but im not gonna get carried away over one game. this is not anythign new in the nba. i remember when toney delk had 40 or 50 points in a game. everyone has that game where everything goes in or they just are feeling it. i hope people dont get too out of hand with this but on here i know it will happen. its like the last 5 games of the season when teams play there rookies and they do well and some people wonder why this or that guy wasnt starting from the get go
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 10:11am #261311

DanEboyParticipantYeah but Delk wasn’t considered a prospect like Batum is. We all knew what Tony Delk could do. This kid has some very good shooting %’s in limited play. And he has height; 6’8. I don’t know too much about his skills, such as ballhandling or defense though.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 10:19am #261315
quinceyhodgesthat was just one example. there are alot more.my thing is i hope peopel dont get carried away over one game compared to how many games he has played in his career. some will start to say a team can build around him and he should be a first option
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 1:46pm #261373

WizardofOzParticipantYou forgot about Josh Howard. He was playing pretty well with the Wizards until he got injured.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 1:48pm #261375
quinceyhodgesyeah but there werent many post on here about him. even though i did forget. imwondering where are all the sergio guys at?..they only showed up on here when the trade happened and when he had the good game. all the other games they are no where to be found. im curious to see what excuses they come up with
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 1:56pm #261383

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantSame old Tyrus. Always with his head in the game.

BASKETBALLISFUNHow about john salmons with the bucks averaging over 18 ppg and scoring at least 18 in 5 of 6 games (all wins) with the bucks. This might be the pickup of the deadline and nobodys noticed. Finally we got a playmaker at the 2 to play along bj and bogut and challenge for the 5th spot in the east…not bad for a team that was supposed to be contending with nj and min for the worst record in the league.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 2:11pm #261398

llperezagree about the bucks. So many teams in this league are cutting payroll and focusing on the draft. But the bucks are signing veterans like Kurt Thomas, Jerry Stackhouse, and John Salmons and focusing on winning and competing now. I’m rooting for them since they didn’t just fold up like so many other teams that don’t have the highest of expectations.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 2:38pm #261407
NYK2010ParticipantBatum gettin 31 means nothing, Jennings had 55 and has he even gotten 30 since.
It was 31 against Minny he’s barely scored in double figures in his other games, its just one game.
Sergio Rodriguez has done better than Duhon at least with Sergio u have a young player who pushes the ball.0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 2:42pm #261411
quinceyhodgessergio is exactly what ive been saying he is. i woudl take a couple of college pg over him. hes a back up. a career back up and he proved my point about not taking the per48min thing so serious because hes getting more then double the minutes he usually gets but is almost averaging the same stats. peopel can say he does this or that better then duhon but over all his presence/play has changed anything on that team. seems like the same team with duhon out there to be honest except a worst defender who cant shoot who pushes the ball more
i actually ment to talk about salmons because hes been a very good pick up for the bucks who are going hard for that playoff spot
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 5:12pm #261512

marcusfizer21ParticipantBrendan Haywood has been an interior force for Dallas… Caron Butler was the major player dealt but I think Dallas secretly aimed for Brendan as the sleeper… He doesn’t post that 15 and 12 on a nightly basis but his 3 bpg since he became a Maverick was unheard of… He is slowly letting the Mavs forget about a man named Dampier…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 5:16pm #261513
quinceyhodgesyeah i like the way hes been playing. im not sure how much a suprise it is as far as blocks though because last year he was blocking almost as many shots. his rebounding has probably been more of a suprise. he usually isnt real consistant as a rebounder
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 5:32pm #261534
YurpleHazEParticipantits a damn shame josh howard got injured cause he was fitting in and playing real well with the wizards…hopefully they resign him for the MLE
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 5:35pm #261543
quinceyhodgesi forgot about josh. yeah that injury is a tough one. he probably wont be his old self untill the season after next
