It’s way way early, not predicting anything just quite yet… but I actually got a good look at some of the rosters for the first time now that the transfer portal has settled a bit. Have you seen some of these teams and the way they’re constructed? Nikola Kusturica just had a good showing and will be playing for UCLA younger than draft eligible this season. Young Serbian talent not playing in Europe, but college basketball – meanwhile we have the likes of guys like Izan Almansa playing for Gonzaga this year…? It’s truly a free for all!!! I mean no complaints on the talent on the table here, but wow! Where and when do we draw the lines here? Also, slightly different alignment and a changed name of Conferences going on here. WAC is now UAC, guys like Dink Pate will be playing for Providence and the world is weird. We might have the youngest player in college basketball be the best. Just some thinking out loud I guess…

    https://www.daytondailynews.com/sports/former-flyer-may-get-fifth-year-of-eligibility-after-ruling-by-ohio-judge/article_a3799652-97e0-5ffc-bf79-0bceb9ee424e.html

If all these recently graduated four-year players get an extra year, rosters will be in even more flux than anyone could have thought.

I thought the Zags were very solid, Mario St. Supery playing in Europe changes things a bit… got to be able to get the ball past half court..

They should just extend elegibility to 5 years for everyone and not allow any extra years under any circumstances. Its the exceptions that is creating extra work and loopholes in the system and when theres loopholes people will exploit them. And when theres extra work to do people will resist it.
