I’m torn for this one. With all the trade rumours going around the three main peices that the are brought up for the Raptors are Quickley, Barrett and Poeltl. Usually two of those players need to be moved in order to make a deal work which would leave Toronto missing depth at Center or Point Guard. Since Toronto picked Derik Queen earlier I like them picking a depth guard here.

For me its between Ryan Nembhard, Sion James and Tyrese Proctor. I’m not as high on Chaz Lanier or Kam Jones. I’m also a huge fan of Michah Peavy when I watched Georgetown play this year he was an explosive player, had great size and did a bit of everything despite being older I think hes a bit underrated. Then theres Jamir Watkins who I see as an immediate high level rotation player. And theres Thierry Darlan who has the African connection with Masai Ujiri and would be the first African born guard to play in the NBA.

    I’ll make my vote later.

Kam Jones is the highest guy on my board and can play point, which the Raptors could use. So he’s my pick.

I’m going to agree with Norrin – Tyrese Proctor is a very safe pick here. Nice size for a PG, he’ll have been well coached at Duke so is a very fundamentally sound player and can will useful roster minutes when needed. A 40% 3 point shooter last season so will help spread the floor too.

    Tyrese Proctor 2
    Kam Jones 1

I agree with Proctor here. There was a time when he was veiwed as a lottery pick. Duke has really been taking these talented players and fitting them into roles to help the team thrive. Weve seen it with many players over the past few drafts like Lively and McCain. Theres a very good chance that Proctor ends up another example of this. I think his playmaking skills are much more developed than he has shopwn at Duke. I do believe he can truly play PG at the next level. This year he played more as an off the ball shooter for DUke and averaged 40% on 6 shots per game. Hes defenitely underrated.
