the microwaveParticipantconsecutive injuries in back to back seasons plagued brands beginning with Philly, but does he finally have it back??? 23, 12, 26, 19,10, 26….in last 6 hes averaging 19.3 PPG…..8 boards a gm during same stretch. (if u have seen what dalembert is doing on glass lately, 8 is very respectable)…1.5 blocks a game as well during this stretch…. I know hes not full back to form, but hes playing back to it lately. I doubt he’ll ever be what he once was, but if he can do what hes been doing the last 6 gms, philly might actually win some…

KevinDurantRocksParticipantWhats up with Elton Brand. It’s like him and Baron Davis after not pairing up both have had off seasons

M-DYMESParticipantElton Brand just isn’t built for that system. The sixers have a ton of high flying finishers who like to attack the rim, but then they have Brand and Dalembert down low. If they want to continue to be a run and gun team, I think they need to ship Brand and Dalembert off and if not, they need to get some shooters instead of slashers.

the microwaveParticipantLOL nothing to do with the topic but appreciate the insight…. Im asking if u all think brand is returning to form? Not if brand fits Phillys system…. Brand / Dalembert r playing better than anyone else on the entite team lately..

JNixonParticipantStrange that the 2 playing the best for Philly are the same 2 that they are trying to trade…I think those 2 are playing well in hopes of being able to get another team to bite on the “fools gold.” I knew Philly was trying to kinda audition both of them for the rest of the teams in the NBA.

the microwaveParticipantvery well could be the case.. other than last nights beautiful game iggy has not played good at all this yr.. his #’s r deceiving but to be frank.. he would be a SOLID #2 option, and a GREAT #3 option… He is definitely no where near a #1 (which philly hoped he would be)…. Thad in addition hasnt been great this yr either..

M-DYMESParticipantHere’s my answer to your question then. He is never going to be back to form to what he was as a clipper because he will not have the same opportunities in the sixers system. Sorry I didn’t make that more clear. He’s also a hell lot older which affects his play as well but I thought that would be a given and not even worth having to explain.

MkadozaParticipantDavis is having a very good season. He isnt as dynamic as he used to be, but he”s still productive, and more efficient in every way. He’s always been an extremely streaky shooter. As for my boy EB, I’m very happy to see him producing. He worked really hard in the offseason to get ready for this year, and it looks like he’s finally starting to get back to the point where he can finish consistantly around the basket and knock down his midrange jumper. I’m really hoping for a big second half, because there are very few guys in the NBA as nice as Brand. This guy continues to pay for a learning center for middle and high schoolers in our hometown.
