Channing Frye was a top MIP canidate for many, but if Robin Lopez got the minutes earlier would he be a lock?

Dude you ut Brook in the title, just letting you know. About Robin Lopez and the MIP though. I dont know, if he continues to produce like this yeah, but I doubt he can do this consistently. Well see.

I don’t think Frye is going to win MIP. Lopez has been impressive lately. When he was drafted he was suppose to be the defensive center of the Lopez brothers but surprisely he has offense in his game. If the Suns keep losing though I don’t think it matters compare to the other candidates.

Landry should get it. That guy came out of no where, and is now a huge reason why the Rockets arn’t a bottom five team in the league, like many people projected.

Robin Lopez athletic wise is more build for the NBA game and I knew it would take maybe an extra season or so to produce. You see what Brook is doing and Robin was never that far behind him and with his athleticism and playing with Nash. It is the perfect match. The more D his plays the more he will stay on the court. I think Frye may still get some decent minutes off the bench and now he does not need to hesitate to be a chucker off the bench.

How long do you guys think until Amare starts complaining about another guy in the post? I’m sure he’d much prefer a guy like Frye spreading the floor for him.

He probably is happier to have Lopez than Frye , Lopez will take less shot attempts, doesnt command the ball, and makes up for Amare’s lack of defense

I agree with bobbyb, Lopez takes a lot more pressure off Amare on the Defensive end and he mainly catches lobs and stuff close to the basket on offense. Also Amare does not have to play the 5 anymore. Frye was never big enough to really guard 5’s.
