Al Jefferson- Kevin Martin?

i dont think sacramento’s guard situation would be strong enough after this trade goes down

thats an incredibly dumb trade for minnesota… kevin martin is not NEARLY good enough to warrant jefferson… he would stunt the growth of the wolves backcourt… ESPECIALLY ellington, who as of the rockets game can tell you hes a great shooter… they just simply dont need a player like kevin martin and would not want one.. they need a legitament athletic 3 who can drive the lane well and defend well…

throw in hawes or jason thompson and you might be on to something. But right now, no way is kevin martin at Jeffersons level. And I really like Martin

i liked the idea of martin and hawes for jefferson… Gives sacramento a low down center to play beside thompson, and frees up room for tyreke..Minny gets rid of one of their identical playing players (love and big al) and they get a wing player who is actually an nba starter and a love and hawes back court will look pretty good too

Kevin Martin and Spencer Hawes together could make that trade work but it is still iffy. Love and Jefferson to me dont really play well together. It is rare they both have a good game and they have defensive liabilities. If I am minny i could possibly make this deal and maybe move Martin again to another team for a better small forward or sg fit and keep Hawes. Martin may be terrible fit for Minny but a lot of other teams with more assets would love to have his scoring.

Minnisota will not do that trade, they will have good odds to get wesly johnson as SG next year,and they already have a promising shooter in wayne ellinton(similar type to kevin martin),I love his game last night against houston.

if it were thompson or hawes and martin for jefferson then I would think minn. would have to throw in a decent or just avg. guard as well like a role player or piece maybe wilkins or brewer iono. Just throwing out ideas that could help both teams.

whats wrong with having three good wing players? especially when 1 is injury prone, 1 will be a sophomore, and 1 may be a rookie(matters who they draft).. and why would they need to throw in a guard if before sav had to throw in a player to even it up?

i’m not saying your trade is bad i just really don’t understand why a team would trade a go to post guy who gives you 20-10 and is only like 22 and is locked up for 5 years. danny granger is ok but i would rather have jefferson, same with martin. As far as even value for big Al i would say this is pretty good. probably throw in some picks for minesota but apparently jefferson isn’t that good so i don’t know.
Sacramento would be a great team if they were able to do this.

I’ll rather move Love and someone else (possibilities: Tucker, Wilkins, Heck even rights to Rubio) for Kevin Martin and Hawes/Thompson. I see this as a more even trade, allowing both teams to to fill a need and get rid of a player they don’t really need. I like Love but I prefer Jefferson over Love any day if I wanted to try and win a Championship. Jefferson’s going to blow up next year, he’s still getting into game shape and recover after last year’s injury. It takes about 2 years to fully recover and get back to where he was.

minny needs to trade love or big al becuase they both have the same game, same strengths, same weaknesses.. I would choose to trade love over big al, but all the trade rumors are about al being trade and never about love, so id say big al is on his way out, if anybody.. Love is younger but i think jefferson has the better game but is injury prone..

i dont think sacramento would trade thompson at all as he is playing pretty well and consistant. I see them trading hawes tho as he is inconsistent and thus expendable. Hawes isnt even starting anymore, i think Brockman is.. Ya, they need a guy who can rebound that badly lol.

love and jefferson work great together on the offensive end. Love is a pass first guy who can stay out on the perimiter while jefferson works his magic on the low box. Problem is on the defensive end. Both guys are short/slow/somewhat unathletic/below the rim/non shotblocking bigs on defense. I think they trade jefferson based on the fact that love was brought in by the current management and fits the triangle offense while Jefferson represents the old managment and might draw better trade offers then love.

Kings need a defensive guy not an offensive guy.. besides, we need that SF free for when KING james decided to join the most sensible team for him.. the KINGS

I think for the Kings to get Jefferson they would have to give up Martin and someone else. They would probably love to unload Nocioni but that would be extremely doubtful, they would probably end up having to offer Hawes and maybe a 2nd round pick thrown in.

This would help both teams; it would give the Wolves a proven scorer who would most likely increase the effectiveness of Flynn, because it gives him a consistent go to scorer and would not force Flynn to jack up unneeded three point attempts. The Wolves could also allow Love and Hawes to play together down low, having different games altogether I think they would work well. Both Spencer and Love are great passers for big men and Spencer could spread the defense with his shooting ability. Most importantly this trade would help to solve the Wolves chemistry problems between two very talented low post players.

This trade would give the Kings a great low post center in Jefferson and would allow them to finally have a consistent big man who is actually a true center. It also allows for Tyreke to stay with his current playing style between the 1 and the 2 instead of going mostly to the 1.
