teams have the same record and the 2 players ( as the season goes along ) seem to be starting to put up similar numbers. so are either playing better then last year?..worst?..the same?

Gordan has been injured alot during the beginning missing like 9 more games then Mayo i think? Its harder to get into the flow of things if ur missing games but yeah there stats are very similiar but i think if gordan gets in the groove he’ll finsh hard

i feel mayo’s playing better and taking better shots, even if his numbers aren’t better than last years.

i also feel the grizz are smart for trading for mayo, and the clips knew what they were doing when they got gordon. smart moves for young teams, both young and strong teams that are playing much better ball this year.

    NOTE* – since A.I, – the grizz = 7-4.

I still like Mayo more, but imo he has been somewhat dissapointing this year. I was expecting a big jump from him and his numbers are down this year. Memphis really should switch him to the point guard position. HE IS A POINT, NOT A SHOOTING GUARD!! Anyways, some things I don’t like about him is he is spending wayy tooo much time camping out on the three point land. He needs to be more aggressive at making plays for himself and his teamates.

yeah but those stats are only from the games he has played…and he came back from injury scoring 29 and 21 so i dont think he needed too much time to get back in the grove

you really feel he’s a pg?..i tend to see him as a sg. for one thats the position hes played all his life basically. plus he looks to score first and isnt that interested in setting others up like a pg should. its like trying to put iverson at the pg when hes a scorer and thinks liek a scorer first and second. you only play a sg at the point if hes gonna look to pass and make others better first. there are a coupel of great sg who probably could have played pg but it would have hendered there team because there game is scoring not passing

Yeah he scored 29 then he sat out a game and then scored 10 then scored 21, missing games at any level effects how you play for the first bit, and yeah mayos not a Pg. Hes only averaging like 3 assists on the year and when you have the ball in his hands as much he can still create for others and its not like they dont have finishers on that team

I’ve been following the both of them closely since they were in high school. I like Gordon’s game better because he is much more aggressive and is a better athlete. I’ve kinda been mad at Mayo for not taking the ball to the hoop more often, but I’ve finally come to terms and realized that it’s just not his game. He’s a jump shooter, and a very good one at that. They’re both good players, and I hope that an All-Star appearance or two happens for the both of them.

Larry Hughes is better than either of those guys remember Arenas owes him half his paycheck.

Dhamp4…the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.
Bryant will be an all star
    Lebron James is overrated
Wade is going to sign with the Lakers
Kings are gonna win the finals

as a matter of fact I do think of Mayo as a point. When he was in high school he was the number 1 ranked player and he played the point all throughout high school. He was compared to a bigger more athletic Chauncey Billups and I agree with that completely. Watch, if the Grizzlies moved him to the point full time u would see his stats jump, and would be hovering around 5-6 assists per game. I know he is a awesome scorer, but I think he along with the Grizzlies would be way more successful if he was playing the point guard position

His stats weren’t the basically the same before the injuries. Gordon was shooting 50% from the field and over 40% from 3-point. He was averaging over 18 points per game, 3.5 rebounds and 4 assists.
