To me, Evans should be the ROY. He is pretty much leading this Sac team. Although there not getting as many wins as Jennings, I say it’s a tougher road for Evans and the numbers he’s putting up are amazing at a position he new at.

No offense, but can you call it a Rookie Wall when we’re like 15-20 games in? haha. That usually happens to the major minute rookies around 30-40 games I think. Evans is startin’ to steal it from Jennings…

Just like a couple of weeks ago, its still way too soon to say who’s gonna be the RotY. I think Evans cast is a little underrated, as Jason Thompson is developing into a legit NBA PF in his second year, and at some point could be a 20-10 player. He, like Oden has to cut down on some sloppy fouls, Thompson’s more on the perimeter, but hes got a prototypical PF body with good athleticism and a nice skill set. Udrih is really benefiting from playing with a dominant ball handler in Evans, getting better shots and converting at a higher clip. Hawes is a solid center with a nice jumpshot, but the lack of depth inside really hurts them. The have some interesting talent at the SF position in Casspi and Greene. They have an interesting young team thats really played well despite the low expectations. Evans isn’t a PG to me, but he’s got a very good skillset for a SG. When he tightens up his handles and gets a consistent three pointer, he could be a top 5 SG in the league.

I have to disagree with you about Oden. His play hasn’t dropped off since the monster game vs Chicago. Other than the game vs Utah where he had 9 points and only 3 rebounds, Oden has played very well. Since the Chicago game he’s had 18, 8 and 4 vs New Jersey… 13, 10 and 3 vs Memphis and 13, 20 (11 off) and 4 vs Miami. I think his development is ahead of where it was before. Tonight vs Houston will be their first game since playing Miami.

He also doesn’t score most of his buckets off of drive and dish dunks, which is one of the problems. His team doesn’t create any easy buckets for him. He’s scoring his points off of free-throws, off rebounds and put backs and then a few isolation post plays. I do agree that he needs a big man’s coach though, especially with Lucas having to leave the team due to cancer. He still needs work on his low post moves, but he’s improved with his patience and making the right passes out of double teams.

After the double nickel and the series of 20+ games Quincy claimed he knew Jennings would do that all along, and now he’s claiming that he knew the defense would adjust and take away his looks. Which is it Quincey?

Jennings will be fine. He’s struggled shooting the ball over the last six games but he’s still getting numbers and his team still has a winning record. The kid can’t get 50 every game guys. He’ll end the year at 17 and 7 and be the runaway rookie of the year, and I think he’ll lead the Bucks into the post season.
