for example. would you be a defensive minded coach like pop, or a offense coach like mike dantoni.

definitely an up tempo. i was a PG when i use to play and i know from experience an athletic point guard that runs the floor and looks for others after himself wins ball games. Defense wins championships yes, but I could definitely relate to my PG

I’d be a defensive minded coach like Pop. Run and gun teams sell tickets, but teams who lock up win championships.

    fast pace on offense,
    frequent fullcourt press

would probably end up with a deep rotation (10man), small line up (guard oriented) filled with speedsters and such.

    so, an uptempo, energy coach

I would be like Bob Huggins and get WASTED all the time. LOL. But seriously, I would want to be a Phil Jackson type. He has the best basketball mind from what I’ve seen, and he has the ability to make different egos and personalities mesh. And 9 Championships don’t hurt.

I would be an uptempo coach who demanded defense. I dont understand why people think you have to sacrafise defense to play at a fast pace. It puzzels me. Playing for my dad, we won 2 state championships and I transfered my senior year because of some personal issues. We defended hard for 32 minutes at full court and we often times scored in the 100’s while only allowing around 75-80 points a game. We played fast and defended hard.

phil jackson is so overrated.coaches in the nba in general are extremely overrated im sure ill give some negatives for this but cmon people. he didnt make MJ the best of all time. he hasnt made kobe one of the greatest of all time. he was very fortunate to coach two very great teams. phil jackson was semi retired until the lakers came calling. just look at doc rivers. he didnt suddenly become a much better coach. the players he is coaching became better and they win a championship because of the players. not the coach
