Everybody always debates whos number 1…I think its interesting to look at the top 15 because in those 5-20 spots, twenty different people could have 20 different responses….Here is my opinion 15 down to 1

    20. Kevin Garnett
    19. Manu Ginobli
    18. Pau Gasol
    17. Andre Iguodala
    16. Amar’e Stoudemire
    15. Kevin Durant
    14. Danny Granger
    13. Paul Pierce
    12. Joe Johnson
    11. Chris Bosh
    10. Deron Williams
    9. Brandon Roy
    8. Dwight Howard
    7.Dirk Nowitzki
    6. Carmelo Anthony
    5. Chris Paul- He does everything right, and plays the game the right way….Imagine him with some talent
    4. Steve Nash- I thought he was on the decline after this year….Boy was I wrong, he is still the premier PG
    3. Dwyane Wade- So close to Kobe, I’m really suprised….As talented as he is, His heart is what sets him apart
    2. Kobe Bryant- Such an amazing player…He is aging like a fine wine, his footwork in the post and that sweet fadeaway is beautiful
    1. Lebron James- I am way more of a Kobe fan but I can not deny what I see and that is that he is the most complete basketball player I have ever seen and is getting better….He may be the best defensive player in the NBA

In my opinion Kevin Garnett > Amare Stoudamire

Kevin Garnett’s overall production may be down a little from his younger days, but his defensive ability is still among the best among post players. I think Amare is too one dimensional, for his size and athletic ability he is a sub par rebounder and defender, KG still has the offensive game he did (just without the freak hops he used to ) just his team role doesn’t necessarily need him to use it like he used to.

I can pretty much agree with that list, but yea, Garnett is better than Stoudemire.

How are you gonna make a top 15 and rank 20 players? Dwyane Wade isn’t near Kobe Bryant. Calling Lebron James the best defensive player in the league is f@#cking retarded. He gets a lot of weakside blocks and plays the passing lanes but he can’t contain anyone one-on-one. Kobe Bryant is hands down the best player in the league.

Chill out whiteflash lol. It’s just his opinion. You don’t have to talk to everybody else like you talk to Quincey lol.

I think Kobe is still the best player in the NBA too though. Not hands down, but I still think he’s the best. I also don’t think LeBron is the best defender in the NBA either. He’s a great weakside defender and plays the passing lanes well, but he’s not a ball stopper.

Haha. My bad TD, wasn’t trying to be a d!ck. I just think Lebron’s defensive abilities are overrated. I think Bryant has at least one maybe two more seasons where he’s still the best player in the league.

TD probably watches a lot of sportscenter lol. They’ll have you thinking LeBron James is the Glove 2.0.

Jesus. I saw the football part and understand it. He was all-state in Ohio a couple of times I think [once for sure], so he’d at least have some experience. But hockey? The amount of d!ck sucking that goes James’ way is f#@cking insane. I swear to Christ that when Obama’s term is up people are gonna be clamoring for Jmaes to fix the mess he’s left us in.

Well… Considering the squad Chris Paul is working with, he’s the best player in the NBA. Put Paul in the Suns’ system and he’s the MVP every year.

He isn’t the fourth best player in the NBA. He doesn’t play defense and isn’t a premier scorer.

    Paul’s numbers:

    23.8 PPG, .594 FG%, .655 3P%, .845 FT%, 3.4 RPG, 9.2 APG, 1.7 SPG and only 2.1 turnovers per game.

Not taking anything away from Nash, but Paul is the best point guard and 4th best player in the league.

Chris Paul is by far the best PG in the league, then Deron WIlliams

3rd could either be Nash. BIllups. Parker.. etc
its just your opinion after that

I actually watch alot more NBA than you probably do…Lebrons strengths are as a fullcourt and weak side defender…How ever, he is a pretty good one on one defender and is also a good rebounder…I will agree also, I think Garnett is better than Amar’e, I think he could do alot more just like Pierce but sacrifice for the team….Also, I prefer Kobe to Lebron by far, so theres no bias….From what I see, It looks like Lebron affects more areas of the game and has a title contending team with alot less talent than Kobe does…Its very close but all around I haveta say lebron

I really feel nothing but pity for Chris Paul right now… 2 years ago, they were contenders in the West and then things went downslide after that… It’s a reminisce of what the 2001 Toronto Raptors had… They almost went to the Conference Finals, just inches short of a VC buzzer beating jumper and when people thought they are going high, they started to crumble slowly and VC asked for a trade… (sigh)… The Hornets are a joke without Paul… They clearly have no 2 and 3 at this point… Peja’s back is sore and Julian Wright is a flopper… Who are they going to rely at 2? Devin Brown???? Please…

The best Point Guard is Chris Paul no doubt. He puts up the numbers and the assists and its a shame his team isn’t good, Paul does everything for them. As for the best player in the league at this point is Kobe. What separates Kobe from Lebron is his skill. Lebron has no doubt better athleticism but Kobe’s skill at this point is on another level. Kobe is able to utilize his opponents weakness and use it against them. Kobe uses his mind to outplay people while Lebron relies on his freakish athleticism. Lebron has skill obviously but not as good as Kobe’s.

my biggest problem with LBJ (more with how much everyone is on his dick) is that he’s the only highlight they show… the wizards beat his ASS the other day and first of all the headline was like: LBJ loses to the wizards (oh, i forgot, it’s a team game, right?) and then they show 4 quick highlights, 3 of LBJ dunking (which were, I’ll admit, AWESOME) and then one of Jamison making a corner 3 after the game was already decided… WTF?! can i please see the wizards do something? and can we at least acknowledge that other people play on Cleveland?

also, IMO KG is still top 10… and 5 years ago, he was #1… he was CP3 on the wolves, but he managed to keep the wolves in every game without having the ball 90% of the time- downright impressive.

Wow, I don’t know how I overlooked this, but in my opinion Tim Duncan is still a top 20 player in the league, he is still averaging 17 points 12 rebounds and 2 blocks per game this season. Not to mention, his efficency as a post player, I’d put him over Manu, Amare, and probably Pau Gasol, but I think they are at about the same level at this stage in both of their careers.

There’s no way in heck Steve Nash is the fourth best player in the NBA. I doubt care what he does. He may not be the fourth best pg in the NBA….Tony Parker, Deron Williams and Chris Paul..

And forget about the style of play Nash has because it’s been tried and proven time and time again in the playoffs that he and the Suns are built for the regular season.

How could u not have Duncan & Garnett in the top 10?..U could make an argue for them as player of the decade along with Shaq & Kobe..But Shaq would have to be player of the decade…League MVP, 5 trips to the finals..3 Finals MVP Awards, 3 AllStar game MVPs….Everyone who watches & know anything about NBA Basketball will agree that Lebron , Kobe & Wade are the 3 best players in the league..But after that …U could put in no particular order players like Duncan,Chris Paul ,Carmelo, Dwight Howard, Garnett, Nowitzski,Nash,Deron Williams, Durant, Bosh,Stoudemire (and T-mac if he was healthy) ..After that folks will be arguing for hours about who’s better Billups or Parker? Brandon Roy or Joe Johnson? Pierce or Pau Gasol?
