Who better Russell Westbrook or Derrick Rose

I think Westbrook is better, but Rose is a better pure point guard.Rose has less turnovers and better court vision plus a better jumpshot, more importantly he has more experience playing the point. As far as Westbrook he is a better on-ball defender and he’s more explosive.He’s also a better scorer,rebounder plus he can defend the 1 & 2. I think he has more of a killer instinct. A triple double at a position he rarely played in college (in his rookie year), he can play the 1 and 2 the position you can’t front on him. But damn last year in the playoffs Rose showed up against the celtics with 36 points can’t front on that either.

Lets get this out of the way DERRICK ROSE IS BETTER THAN RUSSELL WESTBROOK….the two of them are probably 2 of my 3 favorite players in the NBA….However, in terms of overall skill Derrick Rose is the better player….Westbrook is the better defender and maybe a better scorer but Rose is better all around….do not bring up this seasons stats, Rose is playing hurt

Yeah right thats why was Rose wasn’t even an eligible player to play at Memphis. “Sure he’s better” Westbrook is less injury prone (Derrick’s tendonitis in his knee). Plus you didn’t even base facts on why you think Rose is better thats how I know you don’t know anything. So I can’t even respect your point of view. Both of you are wrong (td8118.iguodala). Plus you shoudn’t even talk you like Iguodala he’s trash, he can’t shoot to save his life thats why Philly always runs and guns because he can’t play half-court.Especially without a jumpshot.

I forgot who said it but you can really prove whose better it’s just like CP3 and Deron Williams debate, theres no actual answer on whose better at the moment. Lets see how these players develop because they both have great potential and can make a big impact on the league.

The reason no one stated all the things Rose is better at is because that would be beating a dead horse. We’ve already named all the stuff he’s better than Westbrook at, which includes (I’ll do it right now for ya) everything that’s not on-ball defense.

What does Andre Iguodala have to do with this topic? I don’t care if you think he sucks, I aint gon lose any sleep or cut my wrist or anything that would show that I care about anything you think lol. He’s actually not a bad shooter at all anyway. He’s probably average or slightly above as a matter of fact.

Derrick Rose was not ineligible. He did, in fact, lead Memphis to the Championship Game in real life and go No.1 in the draft afterwards.

And no matter what injuries Rose has had, that doesn’t make Westbrook a better player.

And for as much as you’ve said about us not providing what Rose is better than Westbrook at, you didn’t provide what Westbrook was better than Rose at. All you said was Rose has had more injuries. Silly man.

Haha owned but if I did have to choose at the moment who is better its Rose. Iguodala pretty much summed up the whole argument. Rose is the better overall player and is very team oriented and is able to create for other players.

Omg pleasestop it I love Westbrook he will be good but Rose is way more effective as a nba player and especially as a PG. Westbrook throws to many dumb turnovers this madness has to stop. Rose is a better scorer and is now a better shooter.

The value of who’s better is not based on stats… If that were true then Dominique Wilkins is a better player than Larry Bird… And Joe Smith is a legend rather than Bill Walton… Errrgggghh… I hate to compare but when you based it on stats and accomplishment, that’s the way it is… Dominique scored more points than Larry Legend… Joe Smith surpassed Bill Walton in terms of points… But thank goodness that’s NOT it… Larry Bird will be a way better player than ‘Nique was… and Joe Smith is an average player… If you based it on stats alone, Westbrook has better ones than D-Rose… But like I said, the value of who’s better as a player is NOT based on it and when you look at the two of them, you could see that Derrick Rose can step up and be a better man and player… He knows how to take control of a ballgame… Russell is a pretty good player too but to say he’s better than D-Rose is awkward… Actually, I’m tired of debating over whose better than who and this topic has come off more than a dozen times. I’m still siding on Derrick Rose at the end of the day… For who would ever thought of taking for granted the athleticism, speed and personality of a guy who’s about to be a Franchise Leader in years to come… Not taking anything from Russell, he’s as explosive as ever but his turnover-prone game had me shaking my head… I remember that game where he had 9 TO’s… That was insane…

Rose is way better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your just a UCLA fan thats to biased to say Rose is better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats why you say he was inelligible so you can think that your Bruins won that that game but in fact Rose and Memphis beat UCLA easily and there is video to prove it!!!!!!!!!!!

thats true you cant just base stats on who is better but its also a factor..what i find funny is when people says..well rose can control a game better when westbrook has controlled games also. or when someone says rose is better then names reasons and the same reasons they name are the same things westbrook can do…the reason i say westbrook is either the same or better and why i think he will be better is because he does the same things either just as well slightly below or better then rose and its only his second year as a pg. rose has played pg all his life yet he is in a debate with a player who is just now starting to play pg. rose is gonna get better but so is westbrook. the difference is westbrook is just learning the pg position
