SOCASTEE, S.C. — Giovanni Rivers scored 16 points and Justin Ford added 15 as the South Florence boys’ basketball team overpowered Socastee 75-43 on Friday.
The Bruins remain in a three-way tie for first place in Region 6-4A with West Florence and Sumter and hosts Conway at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

CONWAY — Jalen Cameron scored 20 points, and Cartier Diarra added 17 as West Florence held off a late Conway comeback.
The Knights remain in a three-way tie for Region 6-4A lead with Sumter and South Florence. West plays at Sumter on Tuesday and hosts South on Thursday.
Desmond Eaddy had 13 rebounds, and Chris Wilson blocked eight shots for West.

FLORENCE — The King’s Academy’s Nick Nero scored 27 points and had 25 rebounds in the overtime win.
Jared Zernikow added 24 for TKA and put the Lions up 60-58 with 30 seconds left in regulation. Trinity-Byrnes’ Kris Chapman tied it at 60 with two free throws with 10 seconds left.
In overtime, Nero hit a 3-pointer to put TKA up 67-66 as the Lions improved to 6-1 in the region.
Lanmadrek Brown led Trinity-Byrnes with 21 points and Tyron McElveen added 12 points.
