The Gaels won the state title and have plenty of depth, led by three returning starters, including senior 6-5 G Chuck O’Bannon Jr. (21.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 2.2 apg), who was last year’s leading scorer. O’Bannon Jr., who’s father played on UCLA’s 1995 national title squad, is ranked as the No. 12 small forward in the Class of 2017 and the No. 49 player overall.

Other returning starters are BYU commit Christian PoPoola Jr. (13 points, 5.0 rpg, 5.0 assists), a 6-3 SG, and junior SF Jamal Bey (10 ppg).

PoPoola is an electric athlete and one of the nation’s top dunkers.
