The Tigers lost to eventual champion Oak Hill Academy in the quarterfinals of the DICKS’ Sporting Goods High School Nationals and return 6-7 junior SG Emmanuel Akot (10.7 ppg, 3.4 apg), who played or Canada in the FIBA U17 World Championship in Spain, and senior 6-8 PF Josip Vrankic (13.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg), a Santa Clara commit who played for Canada in the FIBA U-18 Americas Championships.
Jeff Baradziej (8.8 ppg), a 6-5 W, is another Canadian returnee.
Key newcomers include 7-foot junior Luis Zerban from Germany, junior 6-3 guard Zion Young, a transfer from Andrean (Merrillville, Ind.); sophomore 6-7 W Bernardo Da Silva from Cathedral (Los Angelesa); 6-3 senior G Michael Okafor from Toronto; and 6-8 freshman PF Mady Sissoko.
