Terrance Ferguson, a five-star from Dallas, Texas, verbally committed to Alabama on Monday.

Ferguson, the nation's No. 11 overall player according to 247Composite, made the decision in a video released by Rivals.com. The shooting guard from Prime Prep Academy picked the Tide over Kansas, North Carolina and Louisville, among others. Ferguson won't be back at Prime Prep next year but has yet to pick a school for his senior year, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Ferguson took a visit to Alabama on Aug. 6. He was a major priority for first-year coach Avery Johnson and should give the program a major talent infusion. The 6-foot-7, 180-pound guard is known for his shooting prowess.

Johnson and other members of his staff were understandably excited after Ferguson's decision went public.
