Ranney's five-star forward Scottie Lewis verbally committed to the University of Florida on Tuesday night.

Players like Lewis only come around so often.

The rising senior can throw down a monster dunk, but is much more than just a dunk guru. He is one of the most well-rounded players around. He can pass, rebound, shoot from anywhere on the floor and play lockdown defense.

The electrifying player that sparked a historic season that saw Ranney claim its first Shore Conference and South Jersey, Non-Public titles.

Lewis averaged 16.4 points per game last season on his way to a first team All-State selection and being named NJ.com's Shore Conference player of the year.

Lewis joins a loaded Florida class that features fellow Ranney senior Alex Klatsky, Tre Mann of The Villages Charter High School (Fla.) and Omar Payne of Montverde Academy (Fla.). Mann is ranked No. 30 in ESPN's Top 100, Payne is ranked 35th and Lewis is ranked 13th.

Lewis and Klatsky are scheduled to face Omar Payne and Montverde Academy in the Metro Classic this winter.
