Jordan Tucker , a 6-foot-7 2017 wing from White Plains (N.Y.) Archbishop Stepinac, took another unofficial visit to St. John’s over the weekend and enjoyed it.

Tucker, ranked No. 30 in the 2017 ESPN 60, also visited in September and played an open gym with the team, which includes nine newcomers under first-year coach Chris Mullin.

Mullin and his staff would love to keep Tucker at home, and is making him one of their priorities in 2017, along with Mohamed Bamba, Trevon Duval, Andre Rafus, Sid Wilson, Eric Ayala, Brian Bowen and Billy Preston.

“I just like what Coach Mullin is trying to do with the program and I like his coaching style and they atmosphere he builds in practice,” Tucker said.

“I just go to St. John’s very often because they are close and it’s fun to be around a great group of guys, the staff and the players.”

Asked how hard they are recruiting him, Tucker said, “They are recruiting me pretty hard. I believe I’m on the top of their list right now.”

Tucker was supposed tovisit to Maryland for its Magic Maryland Madness on Oct. 17, but was unable to make it.

“I just couldn’t make it up there Saturday,” he said. “I’m really interested in Maryland and hopefully I can catch a big game in the future.”

    ANDRE RAFUS VISITS ST. JOHN’S

Rafus SJUAndre Rafus, a 6-foot-9 forward from Roselle (N.J.) Catholic, visited St. John’s for Midnight Madness on Friday and said he believes he is one of their top targets in 2017.

“I would be a starter long as I do what I’m supposed to do,” he said. “They are recruiting me to come right in and start.”

He added: “I loved the atmosphere and how they treated me there.”

Rafus has spoken with both head coach Chris Mullin and new special assistant Mitch Richmond.

“Richmond is in shape,” Rafus said.

Mullin told SNY.tv at Big East Media Day that he believes Richmond, his former teammate with the Golden State Warriors, could be a real asset in a number of ways, including recruiting, even though Richmond cannot go on the road to recruit.

“Mitch Richmond, whatever role he plays will have a huge impact,” Mullin said. “So to me I love my staff. Like I said, I put the staffs together for my years in the NBA.”
