FORT MYERS, Fla. — The No. 1 team in the Super 25 will face No. 2 in a rare regular-season meeting of the teams at the top of the rankings.

No. 1 Montverde (Fla.) Academy collected a 74-61 win against Hoover Spain Park (Alabama) in the City of Palms Classic on Saturday. No. 2 Chino Hills downed Thomas Jefferson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) 91-90 on Friday.

They meet in the quarterfinals Monday at 6 p.m. ET

Three players scored in double figures, led by freshman Rowan Barrett’s 16 points to lead Montverde on Saturday.

The Eagles raced off to a 12-point first quarter lead and went into halftime leading 41-29 as Spain Park, which committed 21 turnovers, failed to dissect Montverde’s impressive post defense.

Sophomore prospect Silvio DeSousa, targeted by the likes of Florida and LSU, added 12 points while senior center Bruno Fernando threw down a few thunderous dunks en route to 10 points and four rebounds for the Eagles.

It was kind of a night where it (the lead) could of been 6 or 26, but they’re a good team,” Montverde head coach Kevin Boyle said. “I think part of it was that they have some real high-level players who can make some plays.”

Jamal Johnson scored 22 points and had six rebounds for Spain Park, while 6-foot-10 prospect Austin Wiley, an Auburn commit, had 20 points and 11 rebounds.
