EUGENE -- Dylan Ennis' Oregon season has ended nearly before it ever began.

The senior point guard, who transferred this summer from Villanova, will miss the remainder of the basketball season after reaggravating a foot injury, Oregon announced on Wednesday.

Ennis played in two games this season for the Ducks, scoring two points and tallying two assists in 22 minutes. His first game was on Dec. 29 against Western Oregon, which came after the 6-foot-2 senior missed Oregon's first 12 games with a foot injury he suffered in preseason practice.

Ennis averaged 9.9 points, 3.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds as a junior last season at Villanova. He scored more than 800 points and 300 assists in his college career.

Ennis has already used his redshirt year. He had to sit out in 2012 after transfering from Rice to Villanova. Ennis could potentially apply for a medical hardship to get a sixth-year of eligibility, but the chances of it being approved are unlikely. In order to be approved for a sixth-year of eligibility, a player must miss more than one season because of injury.

Oregon (11-3, 0-1) hosts California (13-3, 2-0) tonight at Matthew Knight Arena.
