LAS VEGAS -- Oregon Ducks senior forward Chris Boucher will miss the remainder of the Oregon men's basketball season, a source has confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive.
DuckTerritory.com first reported the story.
Boucher tore his ACL in the first half of Friday night's semifinal win over Cal, though was able to play the rest of the game. Boucher had 10 points and two blocked shots in Oregon's 73-65 win over the Bears to advance to the Pac-12 title game for a third straight year.
Boucher averaged 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game coming off the bench this season, teaming with Jordan Bell to give the Ducks one of the more formidable defensive tandems in college basketball.
Now, the Ducks will rely on junior Kavell Bigby-Williams and Roman Sorkin to make up for Boucher's absence.
Bigby-Williams, who has averaged 3.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in 9.5 minutes per game this season, told the Oregonian/OregonLive earlier this month that he was ready for an expanded role.
"Chris and Jordan are very good players,"Bigby-Williams said. "I feel like my time will come. I just have to be patient and trust what coach has planned for me."
