Ex-Ohio State guard JaQuan Lyle arrested, released on bond

Men's College Basketball, Ohio State Buckeyes

Former Ohio State guard JaQuan Lyle was arrested Saturday on misdemeanor charges.

Lyle, a guard who averaged 11.4 points and 4.6 assists per game for the Buckeyes last season, left the team on April 11, a school spokesman told ESPN's Jeff Goodman on Saturday.

The disclosure of Lyle's departure comes after he was arrested in Evansville, Indiana, early Saturday morning on misdemeanor charges of public intoxication, criminal mischief to a vehicle and disorderly conduct.

Lyle initially played high school football and basketball in Evansville before transferring to Huntington Prep in West Virginia for his senior season.

He was released on $150 bond Saturday.
