Coach K was the latest heavyweight coach to meet with 6-foot-11 Texas big man Myles Turner on Thursday.

The Duke coach met Turner at Euless (TX) Trinity High School and also had a home visit.

“We met with Duke [Thursday], Coach K came to practice,” Euless coach Mark Villines told SNY.tv.

“It went great, it was awesome. [Turner] did have a good conversation with Coach K. I think they had already offered, but once again they reiterated that they wanted him to come to Duke.”

Duke is also involved with Chicago center Jahlil Okafor, who intends to play college ball with Minnesota point guard Tyus Jones. Yet Turner is considered more of a stretch four and thus could potentially play alongside the the 6-10 Okafor.

Arizona and Kansas are due in next week, possibly Tuesday, for visits with Turner.

“I don’t know if home visits are set up yet, but they’re supposed to be on campus,” Villines said.

The coach reiterated that Turner still hasn’t decided whether to visit Ohio State, Oklahoma State or Kentucky the weekend of Oct. 18.

“Obviously, he’s only going to be able to pick one to go to,” Villines said. “But he’s still trying to get it all set. I know Ohio State wanted him up there, and Oklahoma State wants him to come that weekend and then [Kentucky coach John] Calipari wanted him to come that weekend. So I’m not 100 percent sure what he’s going to do, but they are going to try to set something up”

Other than that, Turner will visit Kansas Oct. 4 and Villines said “Texas wants  to get him down there but I don’t know if it’s going to be an official or an unofficial.”
