Madison Academy's Joshua Langford has been named to the MaxPreps Freshman All-American first team.
Langford was a finalist for the site's freshman Player of the Year award, which went to Harry Giles of Wesleyan Christian in High Point, N.C.
Langford averaged 23.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season while helping lead the Mustangs to the Class 3A state championship. He was named 3A Player of the Year, Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year, and the Huntsville Times region Player of the Year.
