De’Aaron Fox has often wondered what he would ask Michael Jordan if he was ever given the opportunity to talk with the NBA legend.

“I think I’d probably want to know how; like how did you become the greatest player on the planet?” said Fox, a point guard at Cypress Lake (Katy, Texas). “It seems simple, but that’s something I’d really want to know from him. I’d love to know that.”

Fox, a Kentucky signee, may very well get the chance to find out when he heads to Brooklyn, N.Y., to suit up in the Jordan Brand Classic on April 15.

Tuesday night before the Spartans’ 70-58 district finale win over Cypress Creek (Houston), Fox received his Jordan Brand Classic jersey as a part of the Jordan Brand Classic Senior Night Tour presented by American Family Insurance.

Fox scored 42 points in the win.

“It definitely motivates you even more to know that you’re being honored by a game like the Jordan Brand Classic,” said Fox, who is averaging 34 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals a game this season. “I’ve played on the Nike circuit during AAU so playing in this game is like playing with family. It’s an honor to be able to end my last season with family.”
