Jayson Tatum and Harry Giles III highlight Nike EYBL Peach Jam First Team

The Georgia Stars defeated the St. Louis Eagles, 104-77, in the Nike EYBL Peach Jam final on July 12. Jared Harper led the Stars to a blowout win, solidifying his spot on the First Team All-Peach Jam, released Monday. Joining Harper on Peach Jam’s First Team are De’Aron Fox, Xavier Simpson, Jayson Tatum and Harry Giles III.

Jared Harper led his team to the Peach Jam title, averaging 16.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in the tournament. His top performance came in the championship game, where he racked up 35 points, eight assists and five rebounds in the Stars’ 27-point win. Harper will play his college ball for Bruce Pearl at Auburn.

De’Aaron Fox led Houston Hoops after star forward Jarred Vanderbilt was sidelined with a concussion, averaging 19.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.7 assists. He led the entire field in total assists but it ultimately wasn’t enough to overcome the Eagles. Fox has yet to commit to a college.

Xavier Simpson averaged 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game in leading his King James Shooting Stars out of pool play. The Simpson hasn’t decided on his college destination, but definitely raised his stock with a strong performance in the tournament.

Jayson Tatum was the star of the tournament for the St. Louis Eagles, salvaging a title game appearance after leading his team to a comeback win against Harry Giles III and CP3 in the semifinals. After the dramatic win, Tatum committed to Mike Krzyzewski and Duke, giving the defending national championss the No. 2 player in the Class of 2016. He averaged 24.1 points, 7.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game en route to a second-place finish.

Harry Giles III is the top player in his class and certainly played like it. Though his CP3 team fell short in the semifinals, Giles averaged a double-double, going for 17.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per contest. On Monday, Giles narrowed down his college possibilities to five, Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky, Kansas and Wake Forest.
