I know the Love issue has been beat to death, but I am a Wolves fan.  The issue however is not just Love.  When the Wolves drafted Dieng I was scheptical, but he showed that he is legit.  I like Pek but the lack of defense killls the Wolves.  Pek is best served playing along someone like Ibaka.  Idealy for me I would like to see both of them moved.  Don’t get me wrong Pek is a good player but Love and him together are a disaster and Dieng needs to start.  With it seeming likely that Love gets traded to the Celtics and we draft Randle (hopefully).  Who would be willing to take on Pek?  With Randle and Dieng Pek would have to go.  I do really feel he would fit nicely on the Thunder, but with that contract I don’t know.  Thoughts?

I’d rather see a sign and trade of Lance Stephenson and Roy Hibbert for Pekovic and some filler stuff. Hibbert’s value is at a literal all time low. Stephenson’s value dropped because of these playoffs… Pek is consistent and a banger down low, which would help Indiana. I just think the Wolves need some swagger for once. Kmart is your strarting 2 guard and he puts up a quiet 20, but someone like Lance would at least give the team some life imo

I’ve always thought Pek could fit in with Anthony Davis. Davis would cover up some of his defensive liabilities and Pek would provide a legitimate low post scoring option and help with rebounding

I think Minne should explore point guard options in this draft. Rubio has never shot over 40% from the field, and headed into the last year of his rookie contract, is he really a guy that you want to shell out a lot of money for?

If they end up with the Celtics pick, I think they should strongly consider drafting Marcus Smart. I also think Tyler Ennis should be an option if they keep the 13th pick.

Ricky Rubio is a fine distributer and pesky defender, but I just don’t think he’s the guy to lead the Wolves into the post season. Marcus Smart’s competitive fire, and physicality would be a nice addition for the Wolves, IMO. With both at 6’4” the two could even run short spurts together next year.

If they don’t end up with the 5th pick, and keep the 13th, then Tyler Ennis should be on their radar. I feel he can do a lot of what Rubio does, as far as running an offense, not turning the ball over, and making sound decisions, but he has the foundation of a nice long range shooter.
