PlatypusParticipantAccording to a person familiar with the Knicks’ thinking, the club will explore trading Wilson Chandler, possibly packaging him with the expiring contract of Eddy Curry. The Knicks would love to trade for a premier outside-shooting big man. New York Post
What are your ideas

sheltwon3Participantthat one is tough but maybe Knicks do this for Tyson Chandler or Dalembert because if Knicks pair Curry with chandler’s contract they would want a shooting guard or big and possibly an expiring unless it if a deal for Melo or Chris Paul.

Knicksfan1ParticipantWhy do we need an outside shooting big man we have Danillo who’s 6′ 10″ and can shoot the hell out of the ball and Amare whos not a bad midrange shooter. I personally think we need a big man who can bang and grab boards.

knicks82ParticipantI like Hamilton…but hes due 36 mil over the next 3 years. And I know Donnie Walsh is hoping to get Melo/CP3/Tony parker in the next year or two. So hes not gonna take on a contract like that. As far as outside shooting big men…who is available? nobody really. I think they are looking for a sg, or to trade for a 1st round pick and maybe another expiring contract. Supposedly they are interested in signing Rasual Butler (SG) but dont have the money rite now. Cause while Chandler can play the 2 spot, its not ideal for him, and they have a logjam at sf. Heres how I see the opening night starting lineup for the Knicks as the roster is rite now
pg- Ray Felton
sg- Chandler
sf- Gallinari
pf- Randolph
c- StoudemireI wouldnt be surprised if Azebuike starts at sg though. and bring Chandler off the bench.

Knicksfan1ParticipantI respect rip hamilton as a player but he’s in his 30’s now and will start to decline soon. He also has a large contract that would hinder our cap space for next year. I would use Curry’s expiring contract to get young players with potential and I would keep chandler and use him as a 6th man
