F_DA_POParticipantBarton declared for the draft so he should still be in the mock. Usually he’s around the 50-60th pick which I feel is way too low. Now, he’s not even in the mock…. Would teams seriously draft Robbie Hummel over Barton? Barton is a late 1st round, early 2nd round pick IMO. Why is he consistently disrespected by this sites mock? 50% fg 35% 3p 18 ppg 8 rbpg 1.5 steals as a sophomore for a pretty good team.

juves4783Participanthe’ll probably be drafted in the early 2nd round. the fact is this draft is stacked. there is no doubting his talents, but the guy seems to have a low bball iq. and it’s great that he averaged 8 rpg in college, but that will not translate to the nba. he’s not going to be able to jump over everyone like he did in conference usa and at 180 lbs, he’s not going to move around the bigs for a board.
to answer your question though, he should go ahead robbie hummel.

F_DA_POParticipantI don’t understand why I was negged. Do people here seriously believe Barton should go undrafted and a 5 year senior with worse stats, lower ceiling and just tore his ACL is a better option? That’s just comical. Some people here just slob all over the mock makers knob.

HaleParticipantDude the mocks don’t matter at all for another few months. Why do you care?

F_DA_POParticipantWhy does anyone care about the mock now then? It’s an NBAdraft.net message board. I like the NBA and I come here to read about future NBA players. Barton declared, so he should now be in the mock more than ever. I thought posting a topic was self explanatory.

HaleParticipantNo one should care about the mock now. The mocks suck until about a month before the draft. It’s always been that way. Tyreke Evans was like 21st on the mock until a month before the draft. It’s ridiculous that everyone complains about it all the damn time. If you don’t like that, go look at another mock. Sorry if I sound like a d-bag, but I’ve been here for awhile and it’s always like this. We all know Barton is a 1st round pick. Stop complaining, and just be patient.

FastAndFuriousParticipantDon’t forget Hummel Tore his ACL twice, which is sure to hurt his stock.
I agree I don’t think Hummel goes over Barton.

Future_Scoutactually im having doubts about him going in the first… i think if he goes first is gonna be super late. imo he goes early second

iguapops420ParticipantCould end up mid second. Size plays a big part. While my favorite draftable sg has had a great year and incresed his numbers, he still didn’t get a large portion of his points creating in the offense. Had he been able to show more of an iso game, instead of getting most of his points off cuts or rebounds. While his ceiling is still very high simply because of his potential in this area. I’d still guess around the early to mid second round, but I wouldn’t completely rule out falling to late second.
