     If you assembled the 76ers 2011-2012 team before they blew it up trading Iggy and had them play against this years 76ers 2019-2020 team "TODAY" who would win?

    2012-2013 Team

    PG-Jrue Holiday
    SG-Lou Williams, Jodie Meeks
    SF-Andre Igoudala, Evan Turner
    PF-Thaddeus Young, Lavoy Allen
    C- Nikola Vucevic

    vs. 

    2019-2020 Team

    PG-Ben Simmons, Trey Burke
    SG-Josh Richardson, Zhaire Smith
    SF-Tobias Harris, James Ennis
    PF-Al Horford, Mike Scott, Jonah Bolden
    C- Joel Embiid, Kyle O’Quinn

     good post.

     

    most ppl will say todays team.  Nikola Vucevic was a rookie and most of those players are young, so keeping that key core a 13-14 or 14-15 phillie team would of been even better.

    I would give the edge to the current todays team, but keeping that core together i believe the 13-14 or 14-15 team that never happened would prob beat todays team (especially if they added a 3pt shooter) which is now becoming more and more sort after and common

       Yeah today’s version of the players.

      I actually think the 19-20 team would win. They would just outrebound the hell out of them and I also think Embiid would lock up Vucevic.

     The starting 5 of holiday, Williams, iggy, young and vucevic definitely seems pretty formidable in today’s nba. However, that bench of turner, Meeks and Allen would be absolute trash (if this is the 2019 version of these players we are talking about). If you added in a few more solid rotational players from today to the 2012 team than it could be more of a debate.

    Well the 2019 team would have a huge edge because they are an actual team, that practices together and whose two best players have been teammates for a couple years now. 

    Even just on paper the current team is way better. All five starters are legit all-star possibilities; two are legit first-team all-NBA possibilities. Holiday, Williams and Vucevic are all all-star possibilities for the older team, but it’s unlikely any of them will make even third-team all-NBA.
