     If your philadelphia  ?

    Covington and Saric FOR

Jimmy Butler – the attention seeker and possible locker room cancer for a one year rental or pay him big $$ to lock him up for the next 5 years

    or

Brad Beal for $27 mill for the next few season

Obiviously the 6ers would of took Beal but that wasn’t an option. And I’m sure Wash would of wanted more then what the Wolves got because of the length of the contract.

Washington would have wanted a better return than T-Wolves got plus Porter and Covington play same position so the appeal of Covington would not have been so high to them.

reportedly Butler is willing to sign the 5 year deal w/ Phila & so far it’s going great – I’ve been really impressed w/ Butler b/c he defers to Simmons & Embiid all game but in crunch time he closes

And w/ Butler, Simmons & Embiid – the Sixers have 3 of the most intimidating defenders in the NBA

Also JJ Redick has played Fantastic w/ that Phila team – he gets so many open looks & I really believe he’s got another 2 or 3 years of high level basketball b/c he’s such a perfect fit on Phila

If the Sixers decide to leave Butler alone this summer & go for Beal then JJ Reddick is out b/c Beal & JJ play the same position

Plus let’s assume Butler signs w/ Phila b/c they do hold his Bird rights — Phila STILL has over $20 Million in cap space to sign Another Free Agent & if they can trade Fultz for an expiring contract his salary off the books gives GM Elton Brand nearly $30 Million in Cap Space! to Add to that Big 3

I Luv Beal – & he would be a Great fit w/ Phila’s core – an Amazing fit! But I just Luv the fit w/ Butler & Reddick w/ Simmons & Embiid – especially on Def – my God that team is So long & athletic on Def it’s insane – they’ll be a Nightmare in the playoffs when the Reds swallow the whistle

Depends on how the rest of the season goes…This exactly what I thought about the T-wolves and Bulls trade..That the T-wolves would have taken the jump into contender status..76ers fans will be thinking the exact same thing right now..

They were a 3rd seed out West and were looking pretty good.. Then Butler got injured and went down, followed by a first round playoff out..Then the Trade deamand happened..

So I guess I will try answer it this way: If the 76ers get bounced in the 1st round don’t be surprised if Butler walks for nothing.. However if I was the 76ers I would be a little weary of signing him to a longer than 3 year max deal because year 2 will be the true teller if he has bought into the system,Coach and Team..

As for a Beal or Butler choice Butler is more hardnosed and is part of what they were missing in terms of identity vs Beal who is offensively what they are missing..So it depends if you believe offense was the missing ingredient or toughness that might get you through game was..

I don’t think Beal would have been allowed(by their GM) to be traded to an EC team as GMs tend to trade star/All star level players to other confernce so that the player isn’t the reason you get sent home in the playoffs-See Butler trade,PG trade and Kawhi traded to Raptors deals as to what I mean

Most forget that the T-Wolves were positioned as the 3 seed in a strong Western Conference last season when Butler went down w/ injury

I like what Phila is doing either way – they can sign Butler to a Bird rights Max & still have $20 Million in Cap Space & $30 M if they can dump Fultz

Or they can let Butler walk & have $50 -$60M to go after 2 high level Free Agents that fit better

I just don’t believe they gave up much in the Butler trade – Covington & Saric are decent players but Saric they did not really fit what Phila needs – b/c Simmons has No perimeter Skills Phila Must have a Ball penetrator 3 & D guy at Wing & at PW they need a True Stretch 4 who shoots 3’s & Covington & Saric don’t fit that bill

B/c Fultz is such a disaster they really had to restructure so I agree they are Very thin on the bench right now but I like their 2017 1st Rnd pick Zhaire Smith as a Marcus Smart type perimeter Defender in the coming years & they still have all their Draft picks to make trades for Veterans on expiring contracts – we’re hearing a lot of chateer about Korver & Ariza ending up in Phila

Playoffs shorten the Bench to about a 7 or 8 man rotation – Phila is going to be a really tough match up for Any team in the East w/ that 3 headed monster w/ Butler, Embiid & Simmons

Even if they succeed for Phila fans IMO a Dream off season would be a Beal trade & let JJ Reddick walk so they no longer have the Defensive liability & let Butler walk & but Only if they can somehow pull Kawhi Leonard —– If Phila would somehow pull THAT off – where they have 4 Stars ALl 23 – 28 years old they ‘d Really be Cooking w/ Chicken Grease as we used to say in the hood
