Not sure what I missed. Why does everyone have Deandre Hunter going top 5? I thought I had him fairly high top 10-15.

I was wondering the same thing. The kid is a sound basketball player and I’m confident he’ll be a solid pro. But I don’t see him ever being more than an 82 overall on 2K

You make a good point. He disappears 2 often and have problems creating his shot. I have him in the 9 -14. I think there r 12 prospects that r better than him. But He is a decent 3 point shooter,a good defender, he can score from mid range & the post and he plays above the rim. I guess that’s why people feel he’s a safe pick.

What is being said is absolutely right, he’s a sound player. When picking top 5, or top 10, teams usually go for guys with higher potential. I see him falling out of top 5, and probably to my Hawks where he fits.

The unique of this draft, there is no significant gap in the top 4-14 prospects, a 3 players draft as they say..

‘Most NBa ready or Safest pick’ comes to mind.

Theres is so much talent but there are just as many questions surrounding the talent that hes moved into the safe pick narrative range. He got good size , 3 and D , etc etc. Plus the tournament as mentioned. He should probably be no higher than 10 at best based on visable skill and talent not to mention age but chances are he wont be a lemon. That helps average GMs keep jobs.

He reminds me of Otto Porter at Gtown tall stiff but versitile and m,omre athletic

It’s because he checks all the boxes on the current NBA wish list.  Tall enough, long, willing defender and solid 3 point shooter with some potential for growth down the line.  Just imagine if you could have 85% of PJ Tucker, but 22 years old, the ability to get better than PJ  and under team control for 6 years.

Or for another comparison, a more skilled OG Anunoby

He was the best player on the floor and outplayed Culver and it wasn’t even close. He’s athletic, very good size, and keeps getting better. What limits his upside? He’s older, which is a slight worry, but I don’t see him as someone who has this crazy low ceiling, not after the top three in this draft. His higher floor is likely why he goes high. He has an NBA body and role right now, you can’t say that about a bunch of the guys in the lottery.

He’s very lanky and has a high dribble. He showed he can create his own offense during the championship game but I dont think at this point he has the strength or explosiveness to create at thhe next level. Theres alot missing for a 4th overall pick. Not gonna put a cap on his potential because he could be as good as he wants with good ol hard work but I really just see him sliding into a role similar to Jerami Grant.
