How is his game to different from Gerald Wallace’s style? I know he is shorter and his shot seems to be better but why can’t he be a player in the mold of Gerald Wallace?

Gerald Wallace had a better offensive game that Allen as ever had. Back in 09-10 season Gerald was averaging 18/10/2 as the no.2 option on a team that went to the playoffs as a 7th seed with their 44-38 record. Allen has only once in his career average more than 10 points.

Why can’t he just be Victor Oladipo instead of all these other comparisons? I know it’s fun to make comparisons and its not like I never do it, but when players like Dipo get all kinds of different comparisons depending on who you talk to we should probably just let it go. Every 6’4 guard that can score gets DWade comparisons while 6’4 guards that defend get Tony Allen comparisons.

I wasn’t comparing to dipo, I was just saying a smaller Gerald Wallace would be like Tony Allen.. Wallace isn’t that much more offensively gifted than Allen, he is however, way bigger! If Allen was that size, I think he could average around 18 too….

I agree with exactly what you say. Dipo is his own player, and I don’t really see an accurate comparison. He’s very unique with his own developing skill set, my favorite qualtiy is how hard he plays.

I get what your saying and I wasn’t trying to single you out on Tony Allen I just get tired of seeing his name all the time bc 90% of the time it’s a comparison lol
